thank you so much for your support. the smd is from a Turbo-X laptop. for the motherboard you can see the photo. i dont know more about this motherboard.
it was given to me from a friend as not working.
i google also for the schematic of this motherboard but the only thing i can find is some bios files. can anyone help also for the schematic?

thank you again for your great support.

Schematic requests go here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=41 .Don`t bother requesting it though,as its not available.

The board is a Pegatron D15D .Look at the Typical Application Circuit in the richtek datasheet, look for the four high side and low side mosfets on the board and test those. Before replacing the IC check the resistance to gnd for short on pins 3,8,13,18 after the old one is desoldered.

The pads and placement look like bulk caps.

The larger PCB track area = GROUND.

The other side of these pads = probably a power rail.

Check the voltage of that power rail and suspecting it to be 3v3 or 5v0.

Based on this assumption, you can place bulk caps onboard rated for the peak voltage of 6v3 and capacitance that is available to you - perhaps 22uf / 47uf for each. Need to confirm the body size of the pads so we can confirm if it is 1206 (appears to be) - perhaps were tantalum style but ceramic caps will be fine here.

              Start with the voltage check.

                Hello,
i have a laptop Pegatron D15D with shorted capacitor at 19V line, schematic is not available and i wonder if can tell me with what value can replaced ? the value of next by capacitor is 10uf.

Hello friends, i have this motherboard it turns on without video, so the measurements is :

i have voltage in basic coils 5v,3v,ram 1.35,cpu 1.67,1.0v. cpu is cold and i have 0.1530 stable consumption.

                It8528E :
                1. PM_RSMRST 3v.
                2. KBC_PWRBTN 3V to 0v to 3V.
                3. PM_PWRBTN 3V it doesnt go to 0v when i press button.
                4. VSUS_ON 3v.
                5. SUSC_EC# 3v.
                6. SUSB_EC# 3v.
                7. CPU_VRON 3v.
                8. PM_SUSC# 0v. instantly rises to 2.2v (1sec) and drops to 0 when i plug in the charger.
                9. PM_SUSB# 0v. instantly rises to 1.2v (1 sec) and...

DVR HIKVISION DS-7208HWI-E1/A BOARD DS-80104 REV 2.2 help identify burnt components
                by thesame
Hy guys , i have a DVR board DS-80104 REV 2.2 that was powered wrong, i have some smds on the board that are blown and i can't identify them , maybe if someone has this board somehow and we can identify the smds', i have searched online and i can't find a schematic.
The smds are SOT-23-6 , one of them i think it has the marking ADJF since i found another one on the board with this marking , but the other one it seems that it starts with AG or it looks like. I would really apreciate if someone could help me identify those IC's .

How can I identify varistor which have been blew up?
                by chth96
I mistakely pluged 100v japanese retro game console to 220v outlet.
So It seems that glass fuse and varistor have been blew up.
I can identify that voltage and ampere value of glass fuse(250V LF 1.6A),but It is impossible to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU(YAMAHA 35M07U XR258)
Is there any way to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU?
                Any reply would be appreciated.

                EDIT:
It seems that I finally found out what type this black varistor is. It is Panasonic ERZV05D221 “ZNR” Transient/Surge Absorbers (Type D) Varistor Voltage...

Why doesn't current just bypass faulty capacitors.
                by Spudgun
Hello esteemed members. I appreciate that my question will strike some as being somewhat childishly simple, but it genuine perplexes me! I have repaired several laptops before by removing a faulty capacitor that was short-circuiting the motherboard, whereupon the laptop would then work. For me, it begs the question that, if the current can bypass where the capcitor was when it has been removed, why didn't it just bypass it when it was present and faulty,? I can't get my head round the premise that if the other side of the capacitor is connected to ground, then why doesn't the current simply bypass...
