a customer bring me a same laptop and the problem was a mosfet next to the dcjack, so i compared with my old motherboard and the only difference is that my motherboard doesnt do ec reset, the working motherboard also doesnt open vccgt coil but it works ok.

Hello friends, i have this motherboard it turns on without video, so the measurements is :
i have voltage in basic coils 5v,3v,ram 1.35,cpu 1.67,1.0v. cpu is cold and i have 0.1530 stable consumption.
It8528E :
1. PM_RSMRST 3v.
2. KBC_PWRBTN 3V to 0v to 3V.
3. PM_PWRBTN 3V it doesnt go to 0v when i press button.
4. VSUS_ON 3v.
5. SUSC_EC# 3v.
6. SUSB_EC# 3v.
7. CPU_VRON 3v.
8. PM_SUSC# 0v. instantly rises to 2.2v (1sec) and drops to 0 when i plug in the charger.

so i figured out that , from begining the problem was on lcd panel and F7700 fuse, then the guy that reworked the cpu damaged it, and the mac stopped working.Leave a comment:

i just noticed blown F7700, i replaced and checked with my donor panel still nothing, customer said lcd was flickering and for days and suddenly black screen, then it give the macbook to 2 different service stores, after that she brought it to me i also noticed that someone did rework on cpu it has flux around it and the protective black film burned....Last edited by kosmo; 03-10-2021, 03:55 AM.Leave a comment:

hello there , thanks for all the responses, so when i plug in the charger i have green light and then it goes to orange, i also have a donor a1466 and i checked the lcd panel and i allready checked with different io cable, i also did a quick resistance check to the basic coils and everything is ok no resistance to ground only at cpu coils L7320 L7310 i have 15-20 ohm to ground, i measured all the power rails below :
PPBUS_G3H 8.56v
PPBUS_S5_HS_COMPUTING_ISNS 8.55v

recently they brought me this mac, and it turns on it does the reset and then works with full fan and no chime and no video also no sign of corrosion in the board, any idea? -

i tried with other bios dumps to disable those settings and i just got black screen on reboot, only with the last dump the laptop was going really fast and when i disabled the setting it worked just fine, it rebooted and logged in to windows!...Leave a comment:

so C states from bios performance gives me the problems. with disable it works just fine anymore only with your last bios

ok i flashed the dump you sent me and it does exactly the same, i also noticed that when it turns on the +vcc_gt spikes instantly to 0.43v before the post and then goes to 0 again.Leave a comment:

hello, customer said that this problem started suddenly without any water damage or fell down, so i started with dell diagnostics and it passed all tests without any problems, the problem is when its goin to boot windows it freezes in the windows logo, i tried to boot from usb and it does the same, i tried to boot linux and it freezed when it was starting services, i also noticed that i dont have +vcc_gt all other coils measured and it seems ok, i also tried 6 different bios dumps and it does the same nothing changed and no signs of corrosion in the motherboard.Last edited by kosmo; 02-27-2021, 08:47 PM. -
Asus K53sd rev 5.1 "battery is charging icon and orange led" without charger plugged
i attach only battery to the laptop and it show orange led,when it loads windows right below corner it sais battery is charging
, i plug the charger and its charging normaly, i remove the charger and keeps say battery is charging, with charger plugged in when it charge full the led becomes green and after i remove the charger the green led of full charge is still on. any ideas?...
