replaced iPhone X touchscreen fails after 2 days

    Hi,

bought an iPhone X and replaced the screen. Everything worked fine but after 2 days of using there's an area/line on the right side where the screen is unresponsible. The screen then is defect because the error also shows up with a screen tester.

The strange part is that if I replace the screen with a new one it will work but after 2 days the problem returns with the new screen.

The screens I used where from JK. Anybody knows this and can tell me what it could be? A freind of mine who is way better in boardlevel repairs told me he has no clue because if the Touchcontroller would be faulty the error should occur straight after replacing the screen and he thinks there's some kind of overvoltage or similiar going on.

Thanks in advance and a nice day

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
      by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

ThinkPad P15s Gen 1, NM-C931 REV 1.0 touch screen replaced only works in UEFI menu
      by Yehuda170
original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

      I²C is a headache

iPhone X earpiece compatible with XS screen?
      by AJ847.63e
      Hi All,

Has anyone tried to use a XS screen on a iphone X before? I've got a old dead iPhone XS which I was hoping to use the screen on my iphone X as the glass on it has cracked. According to google the connectors are the same but some screw holes don't line up, but I'm assuming that doesn't matter as I can use some double-sided adhesive instead. Better than spending 280 bucks on a new screen when I already have a perfectly good OEM XS one.

HP Probook 640 G5 - replaced blown components, getting power led, fan full, 5-flashes on CAPS Lock and NUM lock, black screen
      by zlr8r
Hey guys, bit stumped with this laptop after replacing 2 blown components i.e., MP86493, MP2979A.

To begin with, this laptop was dead-dead.

      Now with replaced (visibly) blown components, i do get some progress; after connecting battery or main cable;
      • am getting white power led
      • 5-long-flashes on CAPS Lock and NUM lock
      • then, fan full speed
      • CPU heats up some (smaller die PCH, does not)
      • always constant black screen no matter what's tried
      • no USB recognition
      • no HDMI output
this is as far as I can get with it and not sure where to inspect next ?

      I tried...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
      by smic717394
      Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
