Can somebody explain how the power to the flash memory is controlled on a HP 450 G5? It is not directly permanently connected to 3.3V.

Re: Spi VCC HP 450 G5
On newer platforms it's often connected to +3VSUS rail, derived from the 3V S5 rail (3VALW usually) and enabled by SLP_SUS# from the PCH.
Try to find schematics matching board model number to confirm.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardView

Re: Spi VCC HP 450 G5
Is it correct that the spi flash memory is always read by the super io chip when you plug in an adapter (let's assume that there is no battery)?
This means you will always see activity on the flash spi memory on miso mosi vcc and clock. I have a hp motherboard that has 5 volt and 3.3v on the on off switch but nothing happens on the spi memory, not even vcc of the spi memory. Could be (only) a dead super io chip?
