Dead 820-01598 - voltages present but no boot

    Hi guys,

    820-01598 missing PPVCCEDRAM_S0_CPU after LD.

The board is totally clean and I get 1.8V at ALL_SYS_PWRGD. The CPU heats up and I can see PPVCC_CPU_PH1 at 0.7V, also PPVCCGT_CPU_PH1 is at 0.77V.

Magsafe without batt connected at 20V/0.460A. Is the CPU dead or am I missing something?

    thanks in advance.

Hey! I am having a similar issue.

CPU heats only heats up a little.

    1.8v at ALL_SYS_PWRGD.

Not getting anything at PPVCC_CPU_PH1 or PPVCCGT_CPU_PH1.

Did you find a solution or is it still on the shelf?

    Cheers!

I have the exact same issue. All large coils have correct voltage except L7702 (PPVCCEDRAM_S0_REG_R). There is no short on that rail. 1.8v on all_sys_pwrgd. I replaced Q7702 and U7710 with no change.

What's PPVCCGT_CPU_PH1? I have 0 volts (without short) but it's working (but warm i think).

HP 15S-fq2006np all voltages present but wont boot up
            by Kambi13
Hi there, I have an hp 15S-fq2006np that had some liquid damage. After cleaning and replaced some resistors and capacitors, the laptop returned to life.
Worked fine. Fresh Thermal paste, ran some stress tests. Prime95 ran for 6 hours straight. Everything seemed ok.
After a couple of hours costumer was playing a game and suddendly the screen went off. Now pressing power button, the power light comes on, all voltages are present but no fan spin, and nothing on screen
CPU doesn't get warm. Changed ram sticks also, but still the same.

            Bought myself a project thing. Apple MBP16" A2141 820-01700
            No shorts, no visible waterdamage.
            Dead. no history.
All USBC ports do 20V and charging battery.
If you plug battery/charger PPBUS is 12.6v and all power rails like RTC, 3v3, 5v etc are present. U7800 PMIC all voltages are present APART from PPVCCPRIMCORE_PRIM_REG (not sure if it has to be present at this stage?! resistance is 40 Ohm). SSD 2.5, 0.9, 1.8 are present on both wings. Charger meter shows 30ma or something like this on charged battery.
But what PMIC does is that it power cycles(dropping to...

            Cisco catalyst 2960c POE
            by madan1
            Hello everyone.

Got a catalyst 2960 from the usual scrapyard - ebay.
It is stuck in bootloop and the power supply is missing the 3.3v rail. (+12V, -53V, +3.3V)
Some green moisture crystallization on mainboard, which cleared very well with IPA and visually there is nothing rusted or gone.
Still working on the PSU to get the 3.3v rail back (waiting for parts), but for now I'm using an external buck converter board hooked up to the 12V rail ( by the way, the switch seems to be working with only 12V ).

The switch fails to boot due to the following POST error:...

RX 5600 XT, all voltages present but doesn't post
            by LozinMust
            Hello guys.

I have an RX 5600 XT that was missing vddci, all other voltages were present. The output of the LDO regulator was low (~0.4V) and it was getting hot. I didn't have the same exact IC so I replaced the faulty uP1230 by a GS7162. After this, the voltage on the vddci coil was 1.1V, still the card won't post. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be at fault? This is my first attempt at fixing AMD cards, so I might be overlooking something.
I leave the photos of the PCB with the voltages and resistances here: https://imgur.com/a/yrD7GWK

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
            by privato89
            Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

            Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...
