HP 250 G3 [LA-a992P] System Temperature (90D) error

Hi all

I have this HP 250 G3 [LA-a992P] that sometimes shuts down and when I turn it on again, it shows this "System Temperature (90D), Thermal Shutdown has occurred" error.

The system doesn't get hot abnormally, fan is working well. Fan speed increases after sometime and shuts down.

I seem to suspect a faulty thermal resistor but not sure.

if u dont have that error on cold start than u must have thermal problem.

check heatpipe for leakage

heatpipe has NO leakage. Can't it be that the system is having incorrect readings from the therm sensor or so?

I've checked the value on a thermistor near PUZ2 and its reading is similar to 2 other same type of motherboard.

Also, sometimes, the mouse touchpad and the keyboard can just seize to respond, but external mouse would work at that point.

R62 has thermal i/o protection whereas A992 doesnt have it. So the two scenario's are different. Check PROCHOT# signal.
