APC UPS error P13
one of our new (only 4 year old) 1KVA APC UPS stop working and through error P13 contact customer support.
the equipment is out of warranty , upon investigation, we found the inverter board has the fault on the output hybrid relay circuit.
The inverter output relay is parallel by SCR/Triac to enhance the relay performance or other means.
We replaced the SCR with new device,, but the device is not power on as expected.
Further research on the issue found that, the error P13 (event ID 107) is latched on the UPS nvram/MCU and need to clear/reset using a service procedure.
The error details is as below :
Inverter Hardware Error
Event Code: 107
Detection Method: This is a hardware signal to detect this error. This signal is monitored in ADC
interrupt @40kHz.
Hardware Signal: CPLD - /INV_FLT
Recovery Mechanism: This error is latched and hence user cannot clear it. This error will be cleared
only by recycling power and setting the factory usage.
Power1:UPSSystem.ManufacturerData.Upsf:F_COM2UPS_Data_BF bit 8 – ResetIgbtError [IGBT
error is latched. Use this bit to clear it].
if anyone come across such issues ? any fix to resolve the reset ?
