How to Re-assemble Macbook battery ?

    Hi
I have an old 2007 Macbook with a dead battery. Mac OS detects the battery but cannot charge it and dispays a message: replace battery.
This is a 6 cell battery with 3 blocks of cells connected in series and each block contains 2 cells connected in parallel.

In order to try to avoid buing another battery, I've desoldered all the cells and check the voltage of each one of them, which ranged from 0.8V to 1.2V.
So I've charged them individually and all of them are at 3.7V, now.
After a couple of days they still hold the charge.

My problem is that I didn't know about the BMS sensing mechanism via a thick piece of metal and I've just cut the piece of metal and desoldered the cells one by one. Now, I don't know how to connect the sensing wires back.
Can somebody help me please? Is it ok to replace that strip of metal by wires?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Pedro

Re: How to Re-assemble Macbook battery ?

i tried do something similar with an acer notebook, but then i see the temperature thing to cut off cbattery connection i ncase of high temperature... and that thing is extremely fragile and some just broke. i think also to make a wire jump, but ... do we know how dangerous are batteries ? they can blown, get fire, increae in diameter and seriously damage the chassis, the mainboard and whole room if they got fire. so is it worth repair that kind of lipo battery by ourself ? that temperature sensor cost a bit. so for repair we need to invest in money, solder, take care of positive and negative contact. with some 60-100€ we can get a new or a good second hand battery that is perfect working.

for that acer i preferred spent 40€and be sure that nothing can get on fire by some mistake i could do.

        Thanks for your reply.
I think it is the best thing to do.
For this Macbook the compatible ones, cost less than £20.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

820-00850 2019 MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar (A1989) mysterious battery drain
          by gboone
Hi, I was given this laptop by my uncle who said:
          • It would occasionally shutdown if not plugged in
          • battery had been replaced
          • touchbar would "strobe"
I disconnected touch bar components and strobing and sudden shutdowns were fixed. Recent updates were installed to the OS.

After fully charging the battery, with bluetooth disabled, no LAN cable and only wifi enabled, the laptop stayed on (screen on) for about 6-8 hours. Allowing screen to turn off while not in use, and it went for over a day.

          BUT

When powered off, it would at some point have a...

MacBook Air A2681 battery problem after Screen Replacement
          by mferna14
Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....

Hi guys I have a Macbook a1707 with motherboard 820-00281, without liquid damage that behaves strangely, with the battery connected the Macbook does not turn on and the USBC meter stops at 5v in loop, when I disconnect the battery the Macbook turns on and works fine, I have already tried to replace the battery twice without success, as soon as I connect the black cable of the battery the Macbook does not turn on, it stops at 5v and in loop.
