    Dell N5050 ( Short on Cpu power supply chip )

    Hi There

    Had this laptop with no power after injecting power at the 19v power rail this was the chip that got hot it was shorted after removal I now have the power light on the laptop the ic is RJK03B9DPA but I'm struggling to find this chip is there any compatible chips that I can use..

    You can take it friom any doner mobo , it's N-channel...but before you replace it make sure that the short is gone

      This is from a high current multi-phase buck converter. You CAN'T just put a random MOSFET in there.
      You need the exact same model.
      If it's impossible you need to find a very close match (several parameters to take into account: package, N-channel, Vds, Id, Rdson, timings and maybe capacitance…) and replace the MOSFETs from the other phases so that they are all matched.

      You also need to replace the MOSFET driver at the same time.

          one question:
          if we can't find it can put match mosfet with parametre:
          30 V, 22 A, 10 mΩ
          or other parameters:
          Vds, Id, Rdson, timings and maybe capacitance
          how much important this parameters for replacing mosfet for cpu or gpu power circuit? or other circuit?
