    dell e6530 error cpu failure.

    orignally posted in wrong section.

When i turn this laptop on power led lights up,fan turns slowly, dvd drive lights
up after that laptop turns off. After that it turns on again on its on and repeats
same steps. There is blank screen, does not get to dell logo,F2-F12 does not work. After repeating few times three led lights up indicating error code cpu
    failure.

I have swapped working cpu with same result.
I have put in new ram with same result.
When i start laptop with key "d" pressed the screen goes thro all diferent colors
    then switches off.
I have removed rtc battery overnight and put it back in the morning, turn laptop on and it goes thro all above steps but this time there are NO error led
for cpu failure showing any more. The laptop charges battery ok.
The laptop has i7 quadcore with NVIDIA gpu.
    Motherboard is Qala1 LA-7762P.

Is it power issue, gpu faulty or bios issue?

Can anybody help me sort this problem please.

Re: dell e6530 error cpu failure.

Schematic available for this model. You need to measure power rails first. No harm in flashing bios but do make backup of original bios.

You have to check CPU CORE, GFX CORE , DDR REF , DDR VTT check all inductor coils

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell XPS 13 9310 2 amber 4 white memory failure
            by Themi
            I have this laptop a dell XPS 13 9310
Power on is ok, stuck at dell logo flashing 2 amber and 4 white (link dell service manual) 2,4 Memory or RAM (Random-Access Memory) failure

I believe this is the spec from using micron tool to decode marking

            Images of the ram

I am thinking to replace but wondering if there is a possibility to test while in circuit to find the faulty module? I am doubting there is any reasonable test possible while in circuit as most ram ICs I have tested previously, I have done while off board / removed.

[NOT A RESCUE BIOS] Dell Latitude E6530 Rare Factory BIOS (Revision A86)
            by Amber TC
⚠️ Not a Rescue BIOS. Flash at Your Own Risk. ⚠️

            This is not A17.

This is not listed on Dell's support site.

This is an unreleased internal firmware revision recovered from a university loaner Latitude E6530... and it possibly bricked the system it came from.

It is from the 8 MB Winbond W25Q64 chip. Could be nothing burger but given the anomalies this is a very interesting firmware dump.

Firmware collectors and reverse engineers might find this useful, It contains certs, modules, and DXE drivers not present in A17. This is likely...

Dell Precision 5530 15" died to blown chip. Replaced chip and now only get momentary fans, lights, no screen or boot
            by joesmoe91
            Hello,

My Dell Precision 5530 turned off suddenly when I was running Matlab and wouldn't turn on, show any lights, fans, and/or any signs of activity at all. I opened the case, removed the battery and looked at the board with a thermal camera while the AC adapter was connected. I saw that PU1252 was >120C so figured the chip had died on me Got the part number off the attached schematic (see Mouser link below) and replaced the chip. After replacing the chip the board (connected to AC adapter) was able to briefly power on, spin the fans a little bit, and turn on the front led lights....

            Dell E6530 Bios Request
            by duder
Could someone please have a look at this bios? I have brought Dell back to life with another BIOS but would like to keep ME Region. I am still learning to use ME Analyzer. Thanks in advance.

That is actually a Dell E6530. I made a typo with the filename....
