Dell Precision M4400 BIOS Request
Laptop has firmware issues (EC and BIOS) with plans to replace both Chips.
I already have the EC firmware extracted.... But the BIOS is very weird.
Macronix MX25L3205D Chip. 4MB. That is the BIOS chip. I plan to flash a Winbond to replace it.
Pin 1 (CS) and Pin 5 (MOSI) Broke off the SOIC-8. After Extraction (During it both pins were loose, desoldering is mandatory for Precision M4400 bios extraction)
I extracted 5 different BIOSes that have incomplete headers using flashrom. (All 5 extractions are corrupt)
I need a full dump....

[NOT A RESCUE BIOS] Dell Latitude E6530 Rare Factory BIOS (Revision A86)
⚠️ Not a Rescue BIOS. Flash at Your Own Risk. ⚠️
This is not A17.
This is not listed on Dell's support site.
This is an unreleased internal firmware revision recovered from a university loaner Latitude E6530... and it possibly bricked the system it came from.
It is from the 8 MB Winbond W25Q64 chip. Could be nothing burger but given the anomalies this is a very interesting firmware dump.
Firmware collectors and reverse engineers might find this useful, It contains certs, modules, and DXE drivers not present in A17....

Hello. I am EE student. Mostly chose the major for fun and interested learning more about hardware hacking. I don't see EE as a degree for a job, I see it like an art.
I often dumpster dive and take home A LOT of good computers still working. I like to tinker with electronics and working with them.
