Re: Dell E5440 does not turn on
I flashed U1 and U2 but did not turn on, during programming the ch341a does not recognize the chip which according to the scheme are winbond w25q64 / 32fv, instead it reads them as ST m25p10a, I noticed that on the two chips there are no 3.3V_M I think without of these tensions cannot workComment

Yes on this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=70030
There are 2 different bios versions depending on the system configuration ,vPro/AMT and non-vPro . The bios at post #13 is vPro/AMT.Comment

Re: Dell E5440 does not turn on
I take this case again to try to reprogram the bios, I have a question: the bios chips are not winbond like the other two cards I mentioned, but they are from the ST micron U2 M25P10A 128k 1mb, I can always flash the same winbond bin file or is it different? comparing them they look the same but I'm not sureComment

Re: Dell E5440 does not turn on
I flashed again U1 and U2 without results, missing the + 3.3v on these two do not come out of U45, this is powered however it lacks SIO-SLP-A # that if I'm not mistaken it comes out from the micro-ec, I return the doubt that it is a bios -ec problem, what do you think?Comment

by masoksianHi everyone,
I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.
The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.
The system does not turn on, there is no post.
I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen.... -
by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -

by NagyeszI have a Dell laptop with me, a DELL inspiron 13 5379. It doesn't turn on. After some investigation, I found that the charger is delivering 0-3V instead of 19.5V, and this voltage fluctuates constantly. Additionally, two ICs are overheating. I searched for these ICs, and it seems they are likely related to the issue of not having 19V.
Should I inject voltage somewhere, or should I replace the ICs right away?
So, PU4301 is overheating, and the surrounding area is hot, possibly just because of this IC.

Hi all
I've been working on dell 3421 that won't turn on/charge
Specs: i3-3217U no discrete gpu
The behavior is
-won't charge (charging light up for 3 second and goes away)
-won't turn on if both battery + power adapter plugged in
-in other way it can turn on with either power adapter only or battery only
But sometimes all this issue goes away with no clear reason.
Does it indicates faulty board chipset?
