Liquid damaged 820-00165A starts only when heated up.

Hi everyone.
I have the board 820-00165A which starts only heated up.
Replaced components due to slight liquid damage are:
 C7797, U7501, U7600, U6101, R7641, U6100, R6130, R6132, R1440, R1445, R1344. Cleaned in Ultrasonic cleaner.
Now, the weird thing, it was going for quite some time, then after a couple of weeks it died. U6100 and U6101 were replaced when I tried to heat up the area and it booted again. Had one leg under U6101 dried, but there were no visible corrosion on the outside!
After that I dig up further and discovered that once the board is heated between the CPU and the U6100 from the side where the U6100 is located, and while it maintains around 40-50°C it goes OK. When it completely cools down it doesn't start
Any ideas where should I look further? What to measure? I feel like there's one little thing like a cap that's failing. But which one would be working after being heated a bit and in that range of temperatures? Could it be the CPU balls near R1344? Any suggestions are appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.

A photo of the suspected mainboard area would be helpful to decide. I mean the area between the CPU and the U6100 where you heated.
Since you said the components near the CPU got corroded, it is probable that the CPU balls got corroded too.

Attached the photo of the region where the heating worked better. IMHO as it is now the board looks clean. All the residue on the photo is the flux cleaner stains, not liquid. Now it gets interesting. I replaced the EFI chip again with the brand new one. I do this a few times per day, so not a big deal to reprogram it with the new clean EFI with clean ME region. I have three absolutely identical boards with different type of damage, so I tested this EFI dump on others two and it works perfectly well. All three boards have serials with FVFT.....H3QF so again, these are absolutely identical machines. After replacing the EFI and programming it with tested dump, the board in question starts and keeps running. But with no chime, no screen, USB works, SMC reset works, and the fan keeps spinning but no boot. So, IMHO the problem is with EFI, or traces to it. The CPU was clean, the corrosion was on the opposite side of the board, where the BIOS chip is located. Any ideas? Thanks.

since you said the other side of the board was liquid damaged, this photo does not show any clue. So more tests should be done on this laptop to discover more clues of the problem. Testing laptops sometimes takes more time and effort. that is why laptop repair is considered as a part-time second job with no delay guarantee.

Asrock z97x starts then shuts off after 4 seconds, sometimes more, no post

I have a really weird problem, this motherboard was working normally, someday it just started and all fans were running but didn't want to post, tried resetting bios, checking CPU and it was getting warm tried external gpu, flashed bios with programmer, but same problem.
Next day after several attempts the board goes into protection mode, no more staying on, I turn on the PSU fans starts directly turning, it used to not start until I press the pwr button, now it starts directly and fans spins, and shuts off after 3 seconds sometimes less, then won't start again unless I unplug the PSU and...

A1398 820-00426 fan spin but does not POST.

          Hi,

I would appreciate some help with an A1398 2015 15" MacBook Pro Retina 820-00426-A logic board.

The laptop was purchased on eBay and I don't know the history other than it was described as untested and missing the bottom cover. There was a noticeable dent at the DC In port. The power button keycap and scissor mechanism were missing but the rubber boot was present and the power button otherwise works. No signs of liquid damage. Battery is not swollen, but don't know it's condition.

When the laptop arrived, it booted to the previous owner's...

How to clean Liquid Metal from under CPU?
          by silver60618
Hi all, Im working on a board, that my customer brought to another shop, and smeared liquid metal all over the board.
The laptop powers on, then shuts off. I noticed traces of Liquid Metal near the edge of the CPU, but I fear some maybe underneath.

Has anyone ever tried Ultrasonic cleaning, or compressed air to remove or agitate the liquid metal?

Strange liquid on damaged GTX1080 card
          by kurland
          Hi,

I'm fixing a GPU card for a streamer, was sent to me by mail. A shorted cap on a power rail has severely burned the PCB.

As you can see from the darkened PCB around the mosfets there are signs of liquid damage. But it's odd because the person says no water has entered the PC cabinet. If you spill something on a desktop you would know I guess...

Funny thing is that the liquid is not only on the PCB but on top of many chips which are tightly covered by thermal padding under the heatsink, even on top of some of the RAM chips

          Liquid cooling?
          by Hondaman
I hope my computer does not randomly reboot while typing this. My main system is the AsRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard with the AMD 8150 chip. I am experiencing FREQUENT and RANDOM reboots once the system is used for a couple of hours (sometimes it reboots before I even get to the Win7/Linux Mint dual-boot screen). The problem MIGHT be the DRAM controller chip (I recently upgraded to the maximum 64 GB RAM). It also might be the VRM chips. I am using a typical aftermarket CPU cooler, which does NOT blow air DOWN onto the VRM heat sink.

(After previous generation hardware [Gigabyte] didn't...
