Mobile phone screen flashes while making calls

    Hello friends.

I have a new Blu studio j1 phone and the screen flashes while making calls. I tried to get some info on youtube and the internet and what i got so far is that it can be the screen proximity sensor and that I have to reset it on the settings display menu. Well, this phone does't have the option to calibrate this sensor.

Also other info that I got is that there are some number codes that I have to enter to reset this sensor. I did that with no success. I have also factory reset the phone a couple of times and It keeps on doing the screen flickers/ flashes. This only happens while making calls.

Any comments or suggestions? This is a brand new phone but the service provider is outside my country.

    thanx.

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)
    by SluggerB
I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
    Please help. Thanks in advance!

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Linksys SPA942 VOIP phone, screen flashes briefly about every second
    by dokma
My office VOIP phone Linksys SPA942 died a few minutes ago. The symptoms are as stated in the title:

    - the screen flashes very shortly, goes blank about 1 second and repeats the same
    - I can hear a clicking sound in the handset in the same pattern

I have measured the voltage on the adapter and it is as stated on the adapter: 5.2V. The adapter is labeled: INPUT: 100-240V~, 50-60Hz, 0.35A OUTPUT: 5.0V 2A.

I have opened the phone up and disconnected everything I could: handset, screen, speaker, case and the voltage all over the motherboard varies at the...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
    by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
