Hello friends.
I have a new Blu studio j1 phone and the screen flashes while making calls. I tried to get some info on youtube and the internet and what i got so far is that it can be the screen proximity sensor and that I have to reset it on the settings display menu. Well, this phone does't have the option to calibrate this sensor.
Also other info that I got is that there are some number codes that I have to enter to reset this sensor. I did that with no success. I have also factory reset the phone a couple of times and It keeps on doing the screen flickers/ flashes....

Update :
I made a third reflow and now the fan works but still no video. I started first warming up at 160 c for a minute, then went up to 190 - 195 for the second minute and then went up to 220 for 40 or 60 secs more.
I still have no video but I have to check again if it outputs video from the rgb port. I also replaced the ram but still no results. I don't know if the ram I used to test it is defective but if I boot it without it I get the bios beeps so I suppose the ram stick is good.
I will try to get another ram to test it... -

Maybe I'll do the oven procedure, I have heard about it but it looks kind of dangerous for the MB. I'll look for an used MB just in case this fails.Leave a comment:

Hello and thank you very much for your time and good advice guys.
I made the GPU reflow because after checking the ram, cleaning the heat sink and fan,(it had a lot of dust and it was clogged with it), applying thermal paste and connecting via external rgb, it was dead no video.
I'm a rookie repair guy and that what I was told to do in a seminar that I took a couple of years ago and by watching youtube videos. But you and the other gentleman are correct, the reflow option should be the last thing to do and I should have practiced in...Leave a comment:

Hello. I have an Toshiba C55D- A5380 laptop that was not displaying video. I connected the machine using the hdmi and vga outputs with no results. I checked and replaced the ram but no results either. Then I decided to reflow the gpu using an 858 D rework station machine and a no clean flux paste that I purchased on ebay. It was my first reflow. The first try showed no results with a black screen. The second time, I applied a little more heat and waited a little bit more while heating. Now I still have no video but the fan is not running when I turn the laptop on. The motherboard doesn't look... -

Heat gun for GPU reflow
Hello!
I'm a rookie repair guy and looking for a good heat gun for a GPU reflow on a Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5380.
Any suggestions will be great and my budget is $40 dollars, yes it has to be cheap. I have been searching on Amazon and ebay but the item description states that they are for removing plastic or paint. Most of them have an operating temperature between 50 - 650 C*. I just saw one on a computer repair site for 20 bucks and a operating temp of 300 to 600 C*.

I forgot to do that but the machine booted anyway. The situation now is that I made a reset because the OS seemed corrupted, it was a Win 10 free upgrade from Win 7 Home premium, I wanted Win 7 back but I lost the OS.
I will try to install Ubuntu and will do DMI info.

I'm looking for a bios dump file for a HP DV4 5113cl notebook for free. I have found some sites but i have to pay for the download.
I made a bios flash ver F.39 on Win 10 and it got into a restart loop. I took out the battery to reset it, my mistake and now I have black screen and the notebook turns off and on continuosly and hdd light is lit amber permantly. I thought was the HP 3D drive guard protection but I can't disable it and boot it
I'm trying to flash the bios again with a Soic clip and I need this file.
