hp 8460 charging problem

i have 2 lap hp 8460

and one hp 8470p

problem battery not charging at all

replace batt and bq736 charging ic

on charger coil 1.0 volt

lap turn on and work but batt not charg

i need your help

Same problem with hp 8470p :
Laptop work perfectly on battery and on charger separately, but when both plugged, it not detect charger at all

your discharge mosfet is likely bad. try replacing it.

Sorry, I didn't open your pics. (post #6 and #8, attached thumbnails)

I think ADP_EN should be 3.3V. when this Q6009 going high on gate at pin2 R6015 will grounded.This purpose to make R6015 and R6017 be resistor divider, since Q6010 is P-Channel Mosfet.

Does your measurement only on adapter or both adapter and battery?

I think you should check if you have any mosfets short (between Drain-Source-Gate pin out), why is Q6010 going protect mode (on gate have 19V).

Also ADP_DET should be 3.3V as feedback report to KBC chips that adapter present and pass verifying have correct voltage.

HP 8470p work good from adapter only and work good from battarey but when connect adapter and battarey its work good but not charging i tried another adapter and another battarey but its the same

Review the sticky above on charging circuits by @Piernov.

check the first 2 DCin mosfets. Measure their voltage to ground for source / gate / drain pins. Post each measurement.
