  • Re: solder don't stick, new tip.

I had the same situation with my old soldering gun. You have a corrosion tip and there is no way to fix it. Don't use any sandpaper I did it but just making it worse. There is two option. Change tip and buy some cheap tips (if you soldering one time in a month) or purchase a new soldering gun because high temp and bad soldering wire are killers of tips.

    -Dont use sanding paper
-Dont use tinner for clean tip
    -Use clean water and sponge
-Dont use your tip like aggressive
-Stay all the time some soldering wire on...

  • Re: Edifier x3 Earbuds Blue Light Problem (Charging Problem)

Thanks for the reply, Today I disassembled the earbud again. I checked all front capacitors and solder joints step by step with a multimeter. The values are exactly the same.(Left and Right) I soldered a bridge to the flex cable and connected it directly to the pins with 2 copper wires but the result is the same. Then the flex cable is working properly. But the board still not charge the battery. Some capacitors are extremely tiny and I only have a soldering gun I don't have a heat gun. That's why it's hard to desolder...

  • Edifier x3 Earbuds Blue Light Problem (Charging Problem)

I ordered a Bluetooth earbud one and half year ago, and right earbud broke. The light that should have been red when you put it in the charging case started to turn blue continuously(which means earbud is not charging) and after 1 week the earbud completely died. I disassembled right earbud because the warranty finished. I diagnosed the battery was dead, so I charged it with TP4056 and revived the battery.

Right earbud is working now but I still didn't solve charging problem. I checked the charging box with a multimeter. There is 5V. I checked the headphone pins and they are working....

  • Re: cheap but good thermal paste?

I think there is no price performance thermal paste. Of course I'm not meaning expensive pastes are better but If you will purchase 3-4$ thermal paste these are not giving anything.

  • Re: Sony Phat PlayStation PS2 power supply repair

I purchased used ps2 model 39xxx with same price as Optical drive. I cant replace OD with 30xxx (which is broken) because 30xxx has different OD plug than model 39xxx. I think there is no way to power on ps2 without optical drive....

  • Re: Sony Phat PlayStation PS2 power supply repair

I have also a problem with my old ps2. The console has been sitting in the drawer for many years. I plugged in the console there is a signal out on the TV but the optical drive(OD) was not reading the disk. I dissembled the console, clean OD, check the lens, and calibrate but nothing help me then I tried changing the ohm value with the screws located under the lens. The final result I broke the console The fan spins there is power on it but I have only green light there is no blue light and there is no signal on TV. When I looked...
