What?
If you want to dump BIOS roms you should be using a programmer (USB - 3v3 TTL adapters work for most SPI chips) and something like flashrom.Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

Some of the newer dell updates can`t be extracted using PFS extract, or using the command line with the switches ( /writeromfile etc) .These types of updates are an AFUDELL application

I'm trying to extract a flashable bios file(ch341a) from the lenovo bios executable download. I have tried the instructions from this site https://starkeblog.com/lenovo/uefi/2...pdate-exe.html, which are not working. According to those instructions, after issuing the commandit should create an \app folder, inside which, I should find a newly created "7wcn38ww.exe" file. I should then be able to extract that using 7zip and find my .FD file.Code:

Recently I used the official Lenovo bios updater software on my ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN (20YA0005GE). The updating process failed and I got a black screen after powering the device. Of course I did not make an own backup before using the Lenovo bios updater.
I bought a CH341A programmer and was able to make a connection to the chip while it is still soldered on board. But I did not realise that the chip was a 16MB size and selected the wrong size (8Mbit / 1 MByte) before reading the content of my chip. So the dump I did before erasing the chip is only 1MByte big. I fear that I lost...
