Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
Pin no.8 of the kbc to power switch 3.3v line. Before you connect it check that line is that short circuited or not if it is not short circuited you can connect it. I had the same experience on an acer laptop. I don't had schematic for that model. So I used this trick on that it was successfully done.Last edited by raajkumar; 10-21-2017, 02:13 AM.Comment

Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
Check if there any small capacitors and transistors or led on that switch board top or bottom side. Sometimes if there anything short circuit, even switches also short circuit it also makes these kind of problems.Last edited by raajkumar; 10-24-2017, 12:06 AM.Comment

Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
there is no capacitor or small transistor on the power board but there is led light i checked also pin 123 beeping to ground on the power board and when checked with continuity test the led light the one on the power switch button when i touch both sides with probe it lights up with orange light and the same with led number 3 when i touch it lights orange.but the other led light not it has 6 led light on the power boardLast edited by String2016; 10-24-2017, 03:28 AM.Comment

Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
- Always make habbit to type message with coma and dot in your sentence.
- This mobo was eaten by age, so many components on it could be has change value or leakage.
- I think that make jumper to shorted pin 7,8 and 9 together at POWERCN1 only as last option if problem still persist. (pin7=TP_LOCK_BN#_1, pin8=PWRLED#_R, pin9=KBC_PWRBTN#_1) think here...............
- Make sure you have 3V on 2 pcs triangle G1 near POWERCN1. Try short G1, and see what result. If you can switch ON, then problem on ribbon cable and sub board power button.
- I would prefer to check a few components which connected to KBC_PWRBTN#, such as RN47 and RN1, maybe "resistor network" was open or change value.Attached FilesComment

Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
- Read the schematic if you want to repair motherboard laptop/computer, since all part on mobo was Surface Mount Devices type. the motherboard has more 5 layer inside it. Wrong to take line can be causing other problem.

Re: emachines d725 cannot turn on with power button
@meritosari thanks for the schematic the problem with this is the power board switch because as iv'e mentioned above that i can power on the laptop if i short pin 7 and pin 8 on the and near G1 on the CN1 have voltages.the problem with this is the power switch boardComment

Hope someone can give me some suggestions on this because i'm at my wits end with it...
I have an Envy 13-BA1565na here with an Intel Core i7 i7-1165G7 CPU (board is a LA-J475P Rev 1.0) which has an intermittent power button issue. The power button is integrated into the keyboard, and I have ruled out the keyboard, BIOS and battery as being the issue.
Basically, on mains power, the power button works fairly well. The first time you come to it after leving it sitting (either on charge or not on charge), it might take 2 or 3 presses of the button, but then the laptop boots...07-12-2024, 03:03 AM -

Symptoms:
The laptop's charge light comes on, but when the power on button is pressed nothing happens. No fan spin, no caps lock, no screen or keyboard backlight, nothing.

by reessiHello,
With the power button connected it either boot loops with the apple logo or no display but the charging meter shows it looping on charging every few seconds.
No corrosion any where!
Tried a replacement power button off ebay and the same.
Very occasionally it will work with the power button connected!
Same results with or without the battery.
Can it be a fault with the Audio board or the mainboard?
The touch Id assembly connects through the Audio board first then to the Mainboard.

by x_orange90_xI don't know if anyone here has experience with Japanese slot (pachislo) machines, but I sure hope so. I bought this machine last week in semi-working order. It would play and the reels would spin, but the stop buttons would not stop them at all. I found that the high-frequency filtering tantalum capacitor was bad on the reel stop board, along with the fuse being blown. I replaced the fuse and removed the capacitor. I haven't replaced the cap yet because I didn't have one on hand, but it's not necessary for the operation of the machine.
The issue now is the Stop buttons are intermittently... - Loading...
