    cfl screen inverter 6pin to 7pin

    hi everyone i need help on this the ccfl screen inverter in broken on toshiba l505 laptop the inverter has 6pin and i cannot find the same replacement for this i have here available only the same size and coil but the problem is the available has 7pin it is possisble to use this to convert the 7pin to 6pin?please i need help on this please i have attached the image

    You can try it
    By the Inverter there is one pin power (Vcc) i think 5v or 19v
    another one is enable (Backlight on/off) i think 3.3v
    an another one is ajustable voltage for brightness
    and the last one is ground
    2 Pins are not connected (nc)

      thanks for the response mielta can you show me please how to convert with this the broken is 6pin and the available replacement is 7pin

        were the fuse is is VCC and ground you can also messure
        you must check the chip on the inverter with 7pin for an datasheet
        to find where is enable and Dim

          i already checked the 7 pin inverter pin 1 and 2 vcc has 19v standby voltage 6 and 7 are ground when i turn on the laptop pin 3 and pin 4 have 3.3v and pin 5 have 1.2v

            Try by shorting pin 4 & 5 of inverter and see if voltage remains 3v. Very likely you will get backlit on.

              thanks mcplslg123 but the problem is 6pin inverter the ground is pin 5 and the 7pin inverter the ground is in pin6 and pin7 i need to replace the 6pin inverter to 7pin how can possibly do this please

                19v to vcc pin
                gnd to gnd
                3v in pin 3 or 4
                3v/1.7v on pin 4 or 5.

                Technically thats the requirement for backlit to be on. You will need to apply 3v on those pins by permutation and combination to find out.

                eg, vcc and gnd connected, then apply 3v on say pin3 and try putting 3/1.7v on pin 4 or 5. see which works
