Disable motion on Xbox one remote

Ok I have a strange request. I have the Xbox one media remote and overall I like it except for one "feature" it has an Accelerometer chip that wakes it up when it detects movement. Its great in theory but in practice it eats though batteries like a fat kid at a cake factory. My kids have the annoying habit of leaving it on the couch and I have to replace the batteries two or more times a week. The set that came with it started leaking the first week I had the thing.

I took it apart and found the chip in question but what I want to know is, If I cut the power trace on the board will that kill it without affecting any other remote function? And if so what trace do I cut? I'm not great with IC chips yet.

    It's a Model 1577 http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/a...s/media-remote

    The Accelerometer chip is a KXCJ9 https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...35152cbad3.pdf

and here is how it looks on the board.

Id look at int pin 7. Physical Interrupt. On some of the accelerometers iv played with its used to wake the cpu from sleep.

Thank you for that! I clipped that line and it worked like a charm. The accelerometer still gets power but if it doesn't wake the CPU or light the LED's it will save a considerable amount of battery life.

        Motion Remote
        by Storyteller12
I have this older Samsung Bluetooth egg shaped motion remote that came with my UN65HU8500 TV. I can pair with my newer tv un65ks8000 and it works fine. However there is a delay when first using the remote after sitting for a few minutes. After a few seconds it starts working like normal. But it always takes a few seconds at first to work.

it doesn’t do this on the hu85500 tv and the ks8000 doesn’t do this with the small Bluetooth remote it came with.

just curious if there is a solution to this. I hate the new remotes and love using the older egg shape....

        Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
        by carrzkiss
        Hello, all.

        Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
        I quickly removed everything...

Firstly I am not a tech. You guys may see mistakes or oversights in my methods so don't be bashful and feel free to post corrections/opinions.

        =>Background:
I bought my son a used Xbox One original model: A12-220N1A Rev: 02 with original PSU & 2 controllers 7 years ago. I “modded” the unit placing a 4.5” 12V exhaust fan with a 9v wall wart adapter on top of the vent/fan of the unit. And plugged the Xbox PSU into a Tripplite LTR-600 voltage regulator. Also connected to the Tripplite are a 275w computer tower, an Xbox 360 PSU and a Westinghouse 52” LED TV. ...

        Xbox One S - 12V Rail Short - Q9F1 Keeps Blowing
        by grimacelord
        Hello,

Have an Xbox One S here that has a short on the 12V power rail. There is no power, beep, or partial fan spin when connecting power cable.

After diagnosing with thermal camera, Q9F1 MOSFET (NTTFS4C50N) is getting hot. When I remove this MOSFET, the short on the 12V rail disappears.

I first replaced Q9F1 with one from a donor board and then partially reassembled the Xbox to test. When I plugged the power cord in, I got a partial fan spin and I thought I had fixed it, but unfortunately, the Xbox still did not power on. So I then disassembled the Xbox...
