    Macbook Air A1466 No charging

    Hello Fellas.

First I know a good english writer but I hope you understand my problem.

    I have a Macbook Air A1466 (June 2012).
This laptop belong to my niece that she spilled hand sanitizer.
The laptop now is not charging.
So far I check that the dim light on magsafe charger is off.
and so far I check the next points.
    1. The voltage on i/o board get 15v
    2. The battery connector received 8v without connect to the battery and .2v with the battery connected.
    3. I proceed to change the battery and I get on same connector 8v with the battery already connected. (so battery problem solved, I guess)
    4. Now I still doesn't have light activity on magsafe and the laptop show not charging.
    5. I used another good conditions magsafe and light turn on for couple seconds and turn off.
    6. The magsage charger from my niece I used on my son laptop is working properly.
    So,
    What you guys recommend ??
    Change the i/o board only?
    Change the Logic board?
Do nothing. (very expenses, special the logic board)

    You opinion is very important
    Thanks.

MacBook Air A1466 820-00165 Charging Issue
      by DominikPechac
      Hello everyone,

I have a problem identifying a problem on this MacBook Air A1466 with board 820-00165.
A customer came in with a problem, the laptop was not charging. Otherwise, it works fine - runs from a battery without an issue. The battery is original, the customer also provided his original charger.

However, when I was diagnosing the issue, I turned the laptop off, checked the board, etc. When I put everything back together, the laptop was charging (I inserted the charger and then turned the laptop on). After unplugging the charger and plugging it back,...

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
      by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

Charging macbook pro mid 2014 15" with magsafe 2 60W charger
      by paparazzo79
      Hi guys.
May I charge this model with 60 W charger?
I know it requires 80 W to charge, but don't want to buy one.
If it specifically requires and 60 W can damage macbook and vise versa, I guess I will have to buy 80 W one....

      MacBook Pro 2018 - A1990 Dead - not charging - only 5V
      by robka
      Hi,

      my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A

I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.

The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.

The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the...

      MacBook Air M1 A2337 battery/charging issue
      by drlarsen
Hello. Sorry for the long post, but I am trying to decide if this is a simple battery replacement, or potentially something more complicated.

I bought an open box MacBook Air M1 2020 A2337. Seller claimed it was never used. Visually, it appears pristine.

On arrival, the battery was completely flat. Computer powers up and boots fine. Battery status showing 1% and charging, 1 cycle. coconutBattery showing 0 mAh and ~6 watts.
After some hours, the battery status did not improve. Restore via DFU did not help.

I connected the power adapter to a Kill-a-Watt...
