    Macbook Air Model A1466

I have a MacBook Air early 2014 (820-3437-B logic board) will not power on? tried the usual resets but still no go. Not sure what happened to it but likely water damaged I picked it up off Kijiji. The board looks clean no sign of corrosion. I did notice that the Magsafe light goes from green to orange without a battery connected?? not normal. but what are the probable causes for this. Not sure where to look?? Any help greatly appreciated. also noticed that the flash drive feel worm when the magsafe is connected even though it will not power on

Update". according to the lady I bought it from it was left running for quite some time on her bed and when she returned it was black screen (shut down) and no response from it since. A Mac Tech told her the logic board was gone. I suspect thermo sensors properly to CPU? Feed back please.

This is PPBUS_G3H ISSUE. Check Voltage at L7130 . You will probably get 8.6V. This is correct and it goes to F7140 from here. Most likely this fuse is open. Solved a case recently with the very same behaviour on this particular model.

I'm attaching the relevant part of schematic.

      Hope this helps you.

Tks mcplslg123 really appreciate the schematic. Checked voltage on L7130 reading 8.56V and F7140 is good same voltage on either side of it as well. I do have the schematic and the boardview for that board but not really familiar how to use it but am learning I am hopping it is something as simple as a fuse

If I disconnect the battery plug in the magsafe and hold the power button the fan will run I can than plug the battery back in and I can than use the power button to turn it on and off but it is only the fan running no chime no video just the fan running at a fast speed. If I reset the SMC it just wouldn't turn on again until I once again disconnect the battery plug in the magsafe and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds or until fan turns on. What's up with that

                Macbook a1707 2017 model 820-00928 GPU issue
                by sofles
                Hello there

I have problem with Macbook Pro 15" 2017, model 2017, MB code 820-00928.

I bought it as broken with some artefacts on the screen, first I thought that this is problem with ribbon cable but after inspectiing ribbon cable I know it is fine. I tried to reinstall macOs and then I figured out that this must be something with GPU as installation freezes at the end (when drivers are loaded). I installed Windows and was able to install every each of drivers except GPU driver, as soon as I tried to install GPU driver - black screen and restart.

Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B Booting Problem
                by psdavid65
I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B motherboard with serial number C02L6GQ9FSV8 that came in WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?...

MacBook Air A1466 2017 no Power via MagSafe
                by Strolch
Hello, I have a MacBook Air that got some liquid! It worked again, but now it won't load or start with the power adapter! As long as the battery is still charged, the MacBook works normally on battery! But not with a power supply. There is also no green or orange light at the plug! Not even with another Magsafe. Even a new DC power board does not work. It's probably the logic board! Need help. Thanks

Macbook A1466 820-00165A heavy water damage but working with "flashing" screen
                by dbuergi
                Hi all,

i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
                Any ideas where to look?...
