Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues

    Hi

I've been searching for a long time and I'll be glad for some help

    1. I have an Asus GL502VT laptop. It worked well.
    2. I had a blown fuse which is related to the operation of the display. It was replaced and now the display is ok. The fuse was a 32v 3a 0603 fuse
    3. However, near it, I removed some component mistakebly, which I can recognize and now the battery is not charging. Windows says "plugged in, not charging". The component was really close
    4. The laptop works plugged or from the battery, but the battery won't charge.
    5. The battery indicator is always lit (orange), even when the battery is not connected

An clue? I can't get the schematics for the GL502VT and I can't recognize the missing part

Some clear photos (far and close-up) would help a lot.

However, this notebook is very new so it costs money to get info for it. I don't have that info but I see that it is available. Hopefully someone else here has it and can give you the part number for the component if you need one.

        Thanks

Where do you see it is available? I'm willing to pay, but I can find it no where.

As for an image: , left, in a red rectangle

There is one burned (looks black) and another looks good and was removed by mistake. Trying the same fuse didn't work

              Thanks, sincerely!
Are you sure? the one besides the burned one? (color is something like vynil/orange)
              Any guess about the parameters?

EDIT: I see now you've uploaded the picture with new info. Many thanks!
Can you tell me how you figured it out? do you happen to have full schematics or it is your experience and knowledge?

EDIT 2: The burned part *is* a fuse, 32V, 3A and it was replaced successfuly, resulting in the display working again (was dim before that)

Many many thanks. It doesn't look like schematics and I see no repair guide really

Hard to say " can't share the boardview, cause I don't want to break the rule on one "forum" that I registered as membership. (free forum that was need colecting some points to download doc/file). www.teknisi-indonesia.com only for VIP member to download it, and I also as free member.

anyway, I can share just screen shoot:

boardview .asc have no BOM (bill of materials) so no component description on it.
schematic not available, use ux31a2 sch as reference, you'll find it on this forum

I see, so it won't give me nothing to pay for this site? they don't really have a full repair guide?

Do you think the UX31A2 is a good indicator (maybe there is a more high powere laptop to sip the info from)? should I go for a higher voltage capacitor?
Sorry, I'm not too good with these - trying to work with a friend who doesn't really understand internet, so I'm asking a lot of questions

I think its safety for 1uf-10uf/25v rating only, not too higher value than 19v rails LCD, if you had problem with LVDS sircuit path, then it blown it again for protection. the point is you should make sure on the pad C4523 not shorted to ground with LVDS cable still connected

little bit confuse, even the caps not solder it on board, you still can power up the laptop without any problem for the screen.

if charging batery problem it seem like on other component has change value or was bad

Yes, only battery issue - not charging. The laptop works well as far as I can see
I'll try 10uF, 25V and let you know

@meritosari, I also have a Dell 7559 and a Clevo P650RE - do you think I find this component there?

                            Hey All!

Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!

I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.

The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.

When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.

TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Vostro 3400 (LA-K033P) won't charge battery, everything else ok
                            by techfreak9356
I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

                            Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.
