Re: Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues
@meritosari, I also have a Dell 7559 and a Clevo P650RE - do you think I find this component there?

Re: Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues
I see, so it won't give me nothing to pay for this site? they don't really have a full repair guide?
Do you think the UX31A2 is a good indicator (maybe there is a more high powere laptop to sip the info from)? should I go for a higher voltage capacitor?
Sorry, I'm not too good with these - trying to work with a friend who doesn't really understand internet, so I'm asking a lot of questions...Last edited by Crappy; 07-26-2016, 12:10 PM.

Re: Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues
Thanks, sincerely!
Are you sure? the one besides the burned one? (color is something like vynil/orange)
Any guess about the parameters?
EDIT: I see now you've uploaded the picture with new info. Many thanks!
Can you tell me how you figured it out? do you happen to have full schematics or it is your experience and knowledge?
EDIT 2: The burned part *is* a fuse, 32V, 3A and it was replaced successfuly, resulting in the display working again (was dim before that)

Re: Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues
Thanks
Where do you see it is available? I'm willing to pay, but I can find it no where.
As for an image: , left, in a red rectangle
There is one burned (looks black) and another looks good and was removed by mistake. Trying the same fuse didn't work...Last edited by Crappy; 07-26-2016, 08:34 AM.

Battery plugged in, not charging after some issues
Hi
I've been searching for a long time and I'll be glad for some help
1. I have an Asus GL502VT laptop. It worked well.
2. I had a blown fuse which is related to the operation of the display. It was replaced and now the display is ok. The fuse was a 32v 3a 0603 fuse
3. However, near it, I removed some component mistakebly, which I can recognize and now the battery is not charging. Windows says "plugged in, not charging". The component was really close
4. The laptop works plugged or from the battery, but the battery won't charge.

Asus GL502VT : blown fuse, dim display, please help identify the fuse
Hi all and thanks in advance
The fuses near the display connection on the Asus GL502VT have blown (probably tried to change the panel while there was some power on, without noticing)
The display works well (checked with another laptop) and the dim problem is solved if I'm using resistors, but I want to use the original fuses - please help me identify them
This is the part, sorry for the low quality:

It should be a 32V/3A (the two resistors I've placed and not showed here show 16V each), but I'm not sure...

Oh, and it's pretty amazing that people are collaborating just out of fun and curiosity and help each other - really different from a lot of stuff out there

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi all!
Found this forum because I burnt another motherboard (-: at least this time there was no fire
Don't really know what to say. I deal a little with laptops, because I write about these from the gaming aspect.
I have no real electrical knowledge, though I'd like at some point to start and learning how to design electrical stuff, technically
that's all, I guess
