Different screen sizes
05-19-2016, 07:53 AM
Is it possible to replace a LCD or LED screen in different size, without damaging the mobo or screen?
Like replacing a 15.6 LED for a 10 inch one?

Re: Different screen sizes
No brother. All screen come with a predefined resolution which is controlled by predefined BIOS value of a laptop. So if you will change the screen size most of the time nothing will appear on screen or some noise will appear.

Re: Different screen sizes
yes, if the interface and voltage and resolution is the same.
it's not going to matter how large or small the glass is.
if it's a laptop, you can even get adapters on ebay to connect an led backlit screen to an older type cable.
