Hi there seeking a compatible- IT8586E LENOVO as well
      but for LENOVO G50-80..

Need to ask if someone tried one of those vanilla no branded
chips to re-program them with EC bios and that worked ?

      Thanks

You can follow two ways to change IT8586E. you can plug in the it8586e chip programmatically. or you can program it after plugging in with Svod programmer.
I'm not happy to be so strong. because it's not humanly

Re: i need a replacement -compatible- IT8586E LENOVO

          thanks for the promptly reply..

I have a RT809F (w/ extension PB board and cable..)

I can save the old EC and program a new one with
that .. although I have been just "buying" pre programmed
chips for the price so far..

But that is not best solution.

There are a bunch of vanilla chips (not branded LENOVO)
and.. my doubt is *IF* I can just put one there and
re-program the chip hoping for the better...

As long as the chip number is IT8586E, it works after programming. have replaced many many chips with success.

Thanks a lot... I was determined to order
a bunch of vanilla batch to try them myself..

I will now certainly ditch those branded ones..
and try to use the normal chips..

Can not figure out why LENOVO did that..

But they fail at miserable rate...

Do you know if FXS and FXA versions of IT8586E are interchangeable? Thanks

This is mixed bag. You can try but on some boards FXS/FXA are not compatible. Better to swap with the same suffix.

I've used IT8586E without the lenovo logo and it worked perfectly.

Lenovo X240 - motherboard replacement for X250, no image.

Friends. I beg you to help me in this situation.
Lenovo X240 with a video problem. Native Intel drivers are not installed,
after installation, a black screen. It works with the standard Microsoft driver.
Understanding that there are problems with the video core,
                        I ordered a motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.
The image is output to the external monitor.
I ordered another motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.

Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen2 Battery Mosfet Replacement
                        by Grafnus
                        Hey there,

first time posting here. I have been lurking a bit trying to find a solution but with little to no avail.

So I have a Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen2. When I got it (for free) it was turning on but not charging because the battery was unplugged. When I plug the battery in, the Laptop won't boot at all.

                        Specs:
                        • Type: Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen2 20YQ-001KGE
                        • CPU, GPU, RAM work fine (not involved in the Problem)

So the first thought was to toss the battery and get a new one, as clearly the BMS is throwing errors or something.

                        Now I noticed...

Blew the capacitor on my analytical balance scale using the wrong power adapter. I need help finding a replacement compatible capacitor to buy. Will any 100uf 40v capacitor work as a replacement?

Help identifying AMCH073 regulator or finding a compatible replacement
                        by taurtnt
                        Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify a step-down regulator marked AMCH073. It’s used on the PEX power rail of a graphics card. I can’t find any datasheet or info online.
                        Here’s what I’ve observed:
                        • It has a QFN-16 footprint, similar to NB670.
                        • Pins 1, 2, 15, 16 are connected together and go to the inductor, so likely SW (switch node).
                        • Pin 9 is connected to GND, which doesn’t match NB670 (where pin 9 is SW).
                        • Pin 8 also seems to be tied to the same GND plane.
                        • The chip only says AMCH073, no manufacturer logo or other markings....

Lenovo T480s usb-c charging port replacement - Knocked off a couple of diodes.
                        by Nikolai Danylchyk
Hi folks. As the title says, I was doing a port replacement on a Lenovo Thinkpad T480s and in the process of post-solder cleaning, I somehow knocked off 2 or 3 diodes (i think they are diodes) near the main usb-c. I can't seem to find what kind of a diode is that. I know it's ultra tiny and just has a letter "G" on it. Would someone maybe have a proper schematic for the t480s model? I can only find the non-s one and it's quite different to the "s". Would love to figure out what component that is.
                        Thanks in advance!...
