do you have a bios programmer? you need to remove chip from the board then flash it on programmer.

Re: HP Pavillion G6. no power

Whenever I have an HP or Compaq laptop with charger indicator the does not lit, first I do is flash bios with proper dump file. You should try that first.

If not try to touch charger IC (PU9) and 5v/3v regulator IC (PU3) if its heating up. If it does there's a short somewhere.

                show up this

Prove set 10v Voltmeter. tap the black on GND then The red inject to pins 1- 2 -3

                pin2 - 0V (gnd)
                pin3 - 2V

                PQ45 mosfet
                pin1 (S)- 3V
                pin2 (G)- 2V
                pin3 (D)- 3V

                see below

here's the prove check board have problem

and pr94 near pu3 it has also get 19v, pr62 4.62v if all the voltages are ok then check
3.3v on u13 at pin no 7,8. if avail flash the bios

Re: HP Pavillion G6. no power

Wait. I think you started the wrong way.
When you want people to help you write the model of the board and if you have a schematic share it or point to the location of it, Mitu Sharma probably is looking at the wrong schematic and gives you wrong information.

Mitu Sharma and Lezsimply, lorins core described in his problem that when he attaches the battery and presses the power button the light indication blinks (that is the laptop tries to start) which in my opinion has to do with a short somewhere and not bios.

I will never advise a person to flash the bios before i had checked that everything is ok (I have always voltages and the ec controller functions) and I do not have data signals from the bios ic (although in this situation may be a faulty chipset - very rare) or the laptop starts but it fails to boot (although in this situation may be again a faulty chipset).

I got sick of seeing people asking for bios dumps. Flashing the wrong bios or a bad bios file may make the problem more complicated.

Check pins 8 and 17 of PU3 and PL21, PL20 for resistance relative to ground without power plugged in and voltage when you plug in the adaptor.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?

                                          Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                                          ...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                                          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

I checked switching power supply brick 19.2 volts multi meter only

No booting without switching power supply connected

Checked switching power supply with an (28 volt ) incandescent light bulb it lights then hooked up the switching power supply again now the laptop and boots like normal

What the heck is going on here...
