    Lenovo N500 wifi problem

I have a Lenovo N500 and I have a weird problem with wifi card.
So, when is booting, I receive a message that tells me that wifi card is not recognized and the sistem is halt.
I tried several wifi cards, but no success.
The original wifi card was 5100 from Intel, but it was phisically broken.
I put another 5100, but I have same message.

This laptop I presume that is reading from wifi card, since it gives me this message.

I put newer bios, but no success.
Is there someone who have this problem?

Some branded machines are using so called "whitelist" of devices which can work on the laptop. You have to find specific card for that model by Lenova partnr or hack the bios. Search internet for that matter.

mesersmith, Have you tried to remove the Wireless card all together to see if you can boot?
Other Option: Change Boot order in BIOS, First Boot Device = Hard Drive

Yea, If I remove wifi card, the laptop works great, boot up in Windows and works like a charm.
With wifi card inserted, the entire system is in halt state, it show me a message that says that the card is not verified and isn't right for this computer.
The boot order is hdd first.

          so what`s wrong?
hp and lenovo got a list with wifi cards that ONLY work.

last year i had half a kilo of wifi from spare notebooks.

they all ended up replacing old cards
Just cook it! It's already broken.

Now I read about this whitelist.
This laptop is one of many laptops that I bought en-gros, and I repair it and prepare it to sell.
In this laptop, it was an Intel wifi card wich was phisically broken. I mean, it was cut in half.
Without knowing about this whitelist, I tried 30 or 40 wifi cards and no one was the type that is included in that whitelist.
Now I have to find one wifi card wich is appropiate to this Lenovo notebook.
            Thanks for all your answers.
