    Dell XPS 15Z won't boot

    Hello,

I've a Dell here with no screen problem.
Fan stuck on high speed and it does not boot.
All voltages are present except IGPU. That shouldn't be a problem because of the Nvidia GPU.

I tried with different bios same result. CPU and ram doesn't communicate I checked it with scope. KBC should be fine because power led is on.
    What should I check next?
Could this be a GPU problem?

    Thanks.

I didn't reflow it yet but first I should find out why there is no communication between CPU and RAM.

15z should have a nvidia 525m or 540m if i remember good and they throttle when overheat, so it's very hard it's a gpu problem. component tht give more problem are those intel chipset with very small balls (0.3 0.35)

try flash bios first and some other ram with different brand value known to be fully working.

if still black screen reflow the little intel chipset or better reball or replace it.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

            Dell optiplex 7090 boot problem
            by mpower1226
Hi masters, need your help in solving this mystery.

i have a dell optiplex 7090 micro that i bought from local kijiji.

when i turn it on, error comes out saying no hard disk.
i go to bios to check the boot option, only httpboot shows. If i try to add boot option, it only shows file search but nothing happens when i click.

i took out the ssd and put it into old laptop and format and installed the windows 10 and put it back into the desktop. It boots up and same error again no hard disk.
it seems as if the computer doesnt recognize the ssd...

Swapped CPU from Fujitsu to Dell - boot guard?
            by estabilito
Hello, i just swapped CPU(i5-8350u) from fujitsu lifebook e548 to Dell Latitude E7490 Board, all resistances are fine, laptop wants to boot but after 1 second draw of 0,3A its turning off, after pressing power on button same situation. I've cleaned ME region and same situation. Is it boot guard problem - and if it is, is it any chance to bypass this or this cpu just can't be used in Dell.
