Got an old DV6700 with the infamous 67M-A2. It starts, all the lights come on, and the fan spins for a little over 2 seconds. Shuts down, and then the cycle starts over again in an endless loop. Heat the chip or is maybe the bios a mess? Board is the DA0AT1MB8H0 rev. H

Re: Hp dv6700
I have never seen BIOS issues on dv6000. It's always the darn nvidia chips.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.Comment

by chaos-theoryI have a really weird problem, this motherboard was working normally, someday it just started and all fans were running but didn't want to post, tried resetting bios, checking CPU and it was getting warm tried external gpu, flashed bios with programmer, but same problem.
Next day after several attempts the board goes into protection mode, no more staying on, I turn on the PSU fans starts directly turning, it used to not start until I press the pwr button, now it starts directly and fans spins, and shuts off after 3 seconds sometimes less, then won't start again unless I unplug the PSU and... -
by arabex21Hello everyone. I have been reading this forum for a long time - I really appreciate the amount of very interesting materials and information in the field of electronics.
I have a problem with this configuration:
ASUS PRIME B450M-A
RYZEN 1300X (I replaced it with ATHLON 200GE - the same behavior, the processors are functional, tested on another board)
When the entire set is installed (CPU, RAM, ATX connector and 12V 8 pin CPU plug), the board starts up for a while (about 1-2 seconds), the CPU fan starts and the board turns off immediately. When I disconnect... -
by ShobosHi, I bought 6420 XFR that tries to boot but shuts down after about 3 seconds, CPU gets warm, fan starts.
So far I have tested all rails wich are good, BIOS flashed with CH341, 3.3,5, main rail present. multiple ram sticks tested. Sometimes it might stay on for longer like 4-5 seconds but not always, theres no picture whatsoever. Also on some rare occasions the caps lock flashes 1 time by itself.
NOTE: I am using bench power supply not dell charger with ID pin and NO battery present, kinda doubtful this would cause this issue.
Any help is welcome. Thanks !Yesterday, 03:53 PM -
by IamPriteshI have two such machines which is having this issue. After shutdown the system starts on its own in a minute. It does not start immediately. It takes around 20-40 seconds before it starts again on its own. This is driving me crazy and not sure where to start ..
Some very important points :
- Laptop does not auto starts after shutdown if adapter is connected.
- It will only auto start after shutdown if the laptop is in BATTERY only mode.
- I have tried replacing batteries with a known
- if I shutdown the laptop with adapter connected and lets say remove the adapter after 5-10

by JohnML1975Hello Forum team
Have this TV; searched for the model and could not anything so thought I would share in here
Had an issue, some years ago, and looks like some placed sticky tape over some of the lines on the FFC cables between the T con and the mainboard
Anyway, the owner, who gave me the TV, says it starts to blink after a few hours
So I removed the covers, and could not see anything visibly
Removed the power supply and thought some of the solder joints, on the hot side, were not the best. I thought some looked like they were cracked.
