I can't resolve a problem [No Power to CPU]

    Hi guys,

Ok, so this is my second motherboard (Dell vostro 3750) which came with no display. In both case I found the issue no power to CPU. I can't find the problem which causes the no power issue to the cpu. No short nothing.

    What do you guys think?

2 new motherboards with the same fault, thats really quite rare. I know this is is stating the obvious, but on your PSU power supply unit there will be a square plug that fits directly into the motherboard, its usually within and inch or 2 of the the cpu housing - check this part of your power supply is working and connected correctly to the motherboard.

Re: I can't resolve a problem [No Power to CPU]

        I checked PU4 NPC6131:
        Pin1 - nothing
        Pin2 - 0.86V
        Pin3 - 1.03V
        Pin4 - 0.95V
        Pin5 - 0.73V
        Pin6 - 1.03V
        Pin7 - nothing
        Pin8 - nothing
        Pin9 - 3.35V
        Pin10 - 5.05V
        Pin11 - 1.96V
        Pin12 - nothing
        Pin13 - 0.87V

        These are on.

        When off
just Pin38 and Pin39 are present.
Pin38 and Pin39 - 0.44V after press the power button both goes high to 5.1V.

I did that. I also put a new one I thought something wrong with it.
CPU has two phases and neither is working. Interesting isn't it?

Re: I can't resolve a problem [No Power to CPU]

                      Nothing on PL5,PL6, and PL9.
PL4 is empty because CPU just uses two phases instead three.

I tried with different CPU but didn't help.

                          by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                          1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                          2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                          3. Problem: TV shuts down

When I reflash again the bios of hoaca388 the unit powers on and the unit lives!!! Hooray!! All voltage in the coil 3.3v, 5v and 6.7v indicate charging are all present. including the cpu voltage , EEPROM and GPU voltage the unit is now alive, normal screen booting to windows and log in screen until I power it off. Then the unit never goes on even when pressing the power button in the keyboard.. Voltage reading 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128 and EEPROM VCC 0 volt and the charging voltage 0 volt.

Try to trace the power switch button goin to the power switch IC PU8803 (APL3533AQBI-TRG)...

Hello, trying to fix C9 55 inch. I have pulled the back and all looks completely normal with nothing burnt so far. This is first time attempting to fix a tv so any help is appreciated.

Problem. I hit power button, red light on TV turns off and tries to turn on, no picture shows up and then shuts off. This occurred after house power turned on and off, not from a storm.

I have tested the power going from power supply to main board, all 12v and 20 volt readings are proper when I hit power button.

The power supply to t con is different story.

                          by Dr.d
I have a lenovo ideapad 5 14itl05, board LA-K321P, That will only power up on Battery only, or with battery disconnected and power adapter only. If battery is connected and usb-c power plug connected. It only works on battery and will not charge. I can however force it to charge by connecting the battery from a disconnected state while the power USB c plug is powering the laptop.

Additionally....to add to this strange situation. The usb-c power plug ONLY works to power the laptop on one side when inserted into the boards power usb c plug. If you rotate it 180 degrees, the board gets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
