Macbook pro 6.2 strange vga problem

    Hello everybody,

Need your help on this one. This one has 2 gpus. One intel and one nvidia gt330m. It randomly produces panic and restarts. On the report it is pointed that the nvidia gpu has problem. I found a 3rd party program for selecting the running gpu. When intel is enabled no panic after a lot of time working. When you select the nvidia one after a while the osx crashes, reboots and has that report pointing into gt330m. The type of the chipset is N11P-GE1-W-A3. Has to anyone here occurred this problem? It has the latest Mavericks OSX. Normally selection of gpus is done automatically through power management and when it is judged.

Thanks for your reply. My guess is also on the nvidia's gpu but before changing the chipset wanted to know if it is a common issue of that chipset.
I will change it then and will inform if it worked out.

          Hello,

Finally after changing the gpu chipset the macbook works (3 days fully) without problem.
          Thanks.

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
            by rounin
            Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

            🛠 Original Issue
            The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B Booting Problem
            by psdavid65
I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B motherboard with serial number C02L6GQ9FSV8 that came in WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?...

Apple Macbook Air M1 A2337 Trackpad problem
            by Skrndelj
            Hello all,

            I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad...

Macbook Pro 16" A2141 screen artefacts, kernel panic
            by sofles
            Hi there.

I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).

Now situation looks like this, If...

            Macbook Air 2020 A2179 820-01958 battery problem?
            by sdogs
            Hi everyone,
I have a MacBook Air A2179 in my hands that had power problems (5V to the USB-C port intermittently).
After a first inspection I could see that the D3302 protection IC was burnt out, so I replaced it but the problem was not solved, it seems like intermittent 5v input.
I then replaced the two u3200s (CD3217B12ACE) and now I have stable 20 volts and the macbook has turned back on.
Unfortunately I have a further problem, it works very slowly and the fan runs at maximum and if I disconnect the charger it turns off, it's as if the battery was disconnected.
