This laptop was working, before it was kept for 8 months since the owner bought a new one.

change the bios battery and rewrite the bios.
I know when there is n channel mosfet on the first line when acin in over 1.5v acok must be low low ( 0v) but i don't know how it works with p channel like you have here
Just cook it! It's already broken.

                    @ dj

rtc battery is good. I don't think I can rewrite bios I don't have 40-pin adapter for that.

                    @virus

I'm still looking for shorts. I have resoldered dozens of caps and transistors. Tested most of them and found no short. Used 3 different original adapters. Usb ports are all ok.

                    thanks guys!

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

                        Hi. I have problem with dell laptop E6440 val91 la-9934p rev.1.
I turn on the laptop and it turns off instantly. After 5-6 attempts it turns on normally. I saw that it was burnt PU800, CD3301B Power Controller Chip.
If you see in the photo someone tried to do bypass and remove PR831, PR832, PC820, PR838.
I will replace CD3301B. I have the schematic but i dont know what are the characteristics of other componets to replace...

Not heat related, everything is ok regarding to that.
                        All voltages are present.
Wondering if this as anything to do with one wire circuit, the charger is not original, but it was working fine

Dell latitude 5590 turns off after CPU is 60 +/- 62 Celcius
                        by diamon
I have here a Dell latitude 5590 LA-F412P (i7 + NVIDIA GeForce MX130 dedicated GPU) with an issue.

The laptop works normally for a time and suddenly it's turning itself completely off (in Windows 10 and also in de bios > running diagnostic) and have to wait a few minutes before it can turned on again (pressing the power button does nothing), it looks like a CPU heat issue.

When I start in the diagnostic the memory (32GB memory, so it will take some time) test, I noticed that the laptop turns itself of when the CPU thermistor has reached 62 Celsius.
