hp compaq presario b1200 no power

burnt mosfet AM4825P_AP
replaced with same but still no power

correct me if im wrong please
but wont the 19v in pin 1-3 of q1001 also goes to pin 5-8
somehow, 19v wont get past mosfet q1001
it seems like mosfet wont switch?

please help

Are you sure you have the correct power adapter? That is the circuit that senses the adapter via the center pin.

i got the same problem here. what should be the right adapter. i used 19v 3.5a

If Q1001 is getting hot then +vadpbl line short I had some filter caps short used the bench power supply to find it showed up after 20sec,the cap got hot.
