reattaching the PCH to the dell la-k452p

i've done a lot of smaller bga chip replacments but the pch attachment on this board is proving to be nearly impossible without better equipment. does anyone have tips on getting good alignment of the chip? i've reattached it a few times and always end up with at least one shorted power rail

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
    by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell PowerEdge T110 server that stopped working after a stress test - bios request
    by Adilson Silva
    Hello everyone,

I'm working on a Dell PowerEdge T110 server that stopped working after a stress test. I need help recovering the VPD EEPROM (AT24C02).

    ― HISTORY ―
I bought this server at a charity bazaar (Pequeno Cotolêngo, Brazil). I cleaned it up, installed Windows 10 LTSC, and tested it all day — heavy file transfers to 3 HDDs, driver installations, and finally added an external audio card to watch YouTube. At that point the machine shut down suddenly and never came back.

    • Power supply would not arm (no PS_ON signal)

Dell XPS-15 (9520) Mostly Bricked after common BIOS-Firmware upgrade - Full Repair Log
    by Tesla
I have a Dell XPS-15 (9520) with the LA-L402P motherboard. It seems to have bricked itself after a common BIOS-Firmware upgrade. Now, it just shows BIOS screen for a few seconds before turning-itself back Off (and doesn't seem to be fully Posting). I've done these many times before with no problems.

I was hoping to please have my own-thread to work-through this (hopefully successful) repair as a whole. Apart from the possible need to have a BIOS-dump fixed-up, I have a feeling I'm going to have other questions. This includes using my new XGecu-T76 for the first time (should be here...

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
    by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...
