IS THAT TRUE? dynabook no power .

    hi
    i have dynabokk c50-g-102 i5 10th gen
    IP3_CN16S_MB_V20_202001229B

the laptop die no power no charging led no nothing
i can't find schematic or boardview
    no short on motherboard
    19v stop on source of pq2 drain=0v
on the gate of pq1 and pq2 =18.5v qnd source 19v but pq1 and pq2 qre pchannel which is means the source voltage should be lower
what i know is gate of pq1 and pq2 controlled by charger ic here is bq24780s but vcc of bq=0v which means ther is somthing else controlling mosfet gate
i think kbc IT8987E is controll the gates of both mosfet becasue the gate of pq1 and pq2 connected to resistor and 3pin transistor and resistor and directly to pin 80 of kbc .
is that true ? or this circuit for a protection .
the kbc is faulty because 3.3 vcc kbc is shorted if i inject 1v the kbc heat quickly .

Sorin from Electronics Repair School (YouTube channel) has fixed quite a few of these models, almost all with MOSFET related issues. I, myself, have fixed a Satellite Pro C50-H-11J that was not charging the battery anymore due to PQ4 being shorted.

You mentioned the EC chip heats up quickly, have you checked whether one of its outputs is shorted?

          unfortunately not the same design
i found the ec is shorted 3.3v vcc input shorted .
i don't know if i have to program the new ec chip and i cant found ec dump for this laptop .

How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
            by Jane
I tried to use this method:

            Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

MOSFET no voltage at gate Quanta G7HA DAG7HAMB8EO
            by irfan karatela
I'm working on a HP Pavilion Laptop Model 15-eh1508sa that is missing 19v. I've looked at the schematics and want to know what conditions the ISL9238C checks before it enables the gate for MOSFETs PQ8200 and PQ8201,

I havent found any shorts on the board.

I get 19v at +PRWSRC but around 1.7v at the Drain of PQ8201(+vin)

On Page 82 of the attachment. Link to schematic - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ilion-laptop-p...

ASUS ROG Zephyrus GPU Mosfet repeat failure
            by MicroSMD Lab
The board number is GU502DU. I repaired this a couple weeks ago and it came back with the same issue, same mosfet failed (PQH9201). I'm hoping that the GPU was spared this time.
I used the same replacement part (purchased from Mouser) and I'm certain the soldering was done properly since it took just as much effort to remove as before. What could cause this same mosfet to fail? I'm thinking if it was unsuitable then the others would fail too. I looked for similar failures on YTube and the mosfet was replaced with AOE6930 in one instance and AOE6932 in the other but it's possible that the...
