    da0r75mb6cd0 REV: C problem.

Hi guys , got here a problem with a recent machine that enter the lab ,

its a hp 15-e050sp the problem as charger port damaged , so we've ordered a new dc jack for it and we received we asked the client to bring us is powersupply since it is this new HP dc jack with bluetip with center pin but the smaller one, i didnt have this tip for my charger and client also was with center pin damaged , so we've bought a new charger for it , but not turning on and no dc jack led light turning on as well , usually this is bios or system charger . but would like to make some measures first before buying whatsoever i will need , but not finding this schematic to download at all , also was trying to chek pinnout for the BQ728 or also can be BQ24728 for i can know if all is ok with system charger before ordering one .
Also notice that i really dont have 3.3 or 5 volts on coils , but that i supose its a security measure to save energy and this will be only present when S5 is enabled . i got 3.3 on on off button and drop to 0 when pressed , and also got 3.3 volts on the bios as well , possible feeded by LDO of step controler . also got 5v LDO on the step controler (meanwhile dont know wich STEP controler is this and they are 2 right near each outher .
Now before ordering any part i would like to be more sure of what part buying , so if anyone have this board or schematic that can give me some pin values for the Charger ic i would be very greatful

meanwhile i leave here the values i got on the charger IC :

    1- 19.8v
    2- 19.8v
    3- 19.8v
    4- 24,9v
    5- 2.8v
    6- 2.5v
    7- 0
    8- 3.2v (between 3.1 and 3.2)
    9- 3.2v (between 3.1 and 3.2)
    10- 3.1v
    11- 2.5v
    12- 2.5v
    13- 2.5v
    14- 0v
    15- 0v
    16- 5.8v
    17- 5.8v
    18- 2.4v
    19- 2.4v
    20- 19.8volts

PS - also donwloaded bios from the hp site , inside of the exe file , there were 2 .bin files with same size just different dates , i saved the dump and tryed with both , still the same so i can see bios is not the problem .

Wait for some good news from you guys.

    thk in advance

Do you have an osilloscope? If yes check for data signals at pin 1 of U13 and U14.
Check voltages on pins 11,18,21,69,71,74,125,127 of ec controller and pin 5 of DC jack

                      EC

                      11- 0v
                      18- 3.35v
                      21- 2.97v
                      69- 2.76
                      71- 0.78
                      74- 3.34
                      125 and 127 - 3.34v

pin 5 dc jack 0.04v ( the pinout is not very seenable but since it show me pin 2 and 8 i assume that pin 5 is the one i measure

onfortunetly , i work for a shop that its very hard to make them buy me gear to work even some of the stuff i've got its frmo my place .....
but very soon will leave this and open busyness with a colegue. so for DATA signal i cant help you atsio , sorry.

seems not having +3v for ec controler .

well it will bve normal since this voltage i will only have after s5 enable (due to step controler not beeing sending 3.3vs5 and +5vs5

Do you have the discrete or uma version of the board?

Atsio since there is no GPU dedicated to this so its a UMA

As you imagined, probably problem with IT8528 but first check and the second bios ic (U13) with the programmer if it is allright.

there is only one bios here , u13 u14 same place only one ROM , 25q32fv winbond donwloaded from HP site the EXE file have 2 Bin files , tryed both (they have 4.3 mb , but still the same , flashs ok , no errors .

could this be a damaged rom IC ? will replace with the exact size in mb rom chip with another and reflash to see , if no news , well guess then ITE is doomed

                                    I recommend flashing u13 first

got one with same issue one day and flashing ec bios solved it
