I add antother things that i just discovered.
I tried a test using an external screen connected via HDMI.- If everything is connected (trackpad, display, and SSD) + HDMI plugged in → crash + boot loop (sometimes I reach the login screen, sometimes not)
- If only the trackpad is disconnected + HDMI plugged in → crash + boot loop (sometimes I reach the login screen, sometimes not) + see image
- If only the internal display is disconnected + HDMI plugged in → no problem, fast and stable boot
If i disconnect the HDMI
If everything is connected (trackpad, display, and SSD) --> BOOT LOOP
If only the trackpad is disconnected --> BOOT OK (if i plug HDMI direct crash)

Hi all, I'm working on an art installation and want to use a salvaged MacBook Air trackpad as an input device for my Raspberry Pi 5. I've made *some* progress but I'm stuck on what I believe is an incorrect or unverified pinout. I'm quite new to this, so please bear with me! Would love input from anyone who has done something similar.

The Hardware:
- Raspberry Pi 5
- MacBook Air 11" A1370 Late 2010 trackpad (part number 821-1110-A)
- 14-pin FFC connector on the trackpad
- 14-pin FFC breakout board
- 5V → 3.3V buck converter powering... -
Good day everyone.
I got a macbook a1708 emc 3164 in the shop with an 820-00840-A logic board that won't turn on, with nor without the battery and would greatly appreciate help in finding the fault.
Checking voltages in boot-sequence:
1) [p:F3000] 5V VBUS PRESENT @ 5V
2) [n:UPC_XA_GATE2] and [n:UPC_XA_GATE1] 7~10V GATE 1: 10V GATE 2: 7V
3) [n:PPDCIN_G3H] 5V PRESENT @5V
4) [p:R7075:1] (VDDA) to [p:R7075:2] (VDDP) and ensure R7075 is 4R7 CORRECT @ ~4.7 OHM
5) [n:PM_EN_P3V3_G3H] signal from [p:U7000] to [p:U6990:10] PRESENT @ 5V

by swoopyto begin with: i'm a complete newbie.
I have a Macbook Air M2 A2681 with water damage. Cleaned with alcohol and removed one USB Connector as there was a short (1). System works, except for: keyboard is not working, haptics of trackpad are not working + right Speaker not working. The Lid Angle Sensor was corroded, but seems to work fine (put's the system to sleep, display will turn off and backlight will also go off when the screen get's closed)
I swapped keyboard, trackpad (+cable), speaker didn't change anything, so should be a board issue Questions:

by BradonisHi there, I have replaced the NANDs if my MBA M3 "successfully" to 2TB.
I have the Problem, that when I try to restore the Macbook, it goes beyond the "update NAND" process, but fails when updating the sim chip from the Trackpad/ keyboard. so the whole DFU restore process is failing with the Code: 130C.FFFF.
When checking the log created by the finder there is this "Main"? Problem:
I tried it with a 100% working trackpad from another M3 MBA 15" so when there would be a problem with the trackpad itself, this should have solved my... -
by cyber47Hello,
i have used the search function but i doesnt found my problem.
I am reparing a MacBook Pro A1706 with the Boardnumber 820-00923-A.
If i have the display and/or the trackpad installed the Macbook does not boot, i have 20V and 0.03 Amps at the charger (without the battery connected), i can post a video of the Amperemeter if this helps.
The board has PPBUS_G3H and it seems it is in the S5 state (i have the voltage on the S5 rails but not on the S4 rails).
If i connect the charger without die display and the trackpad installed... - Loading...
