Toshiba Satellite A300 display

hi friends


i need some help yesterday i got a laptop Toshiba satellite a300 with display problem
Toshiba logo coming and also display working fine in bios setup .
but when exit from bios setup display still with some different colors
you can see in pictures

should i flash bios ?

If its freezing, Its likely to be the common nec/tokin capacitor cause.

very known issue of IGP, reflow it or reball it, but it can be even bad lcd cable

Yes I agree. It looks like the common nec/tokin capacitor failure. I'm fairly sure it's NOT the IGP at fault.

vga cable and lcd are ok i am sure 100%
i replace the Nec tokin capacitor with 4x 330uf

but problem still same

Are you sure that all capacitors are soldered good?
The laptop stucks or has just that line? On external monitor?

i am sure that all capacitors are soldered good and also add 2 capacitors of 220uf
laptop stuck after Toshiba logo . same conduction on external display i also reflow the IGP but nothing change . i am also sure its freezing problem .

Silly but have you tried to remove the CMOS battery and leave it off for some seconds?

add more caps and check cpu vcore voltage.

make sure also south-bridge is not becoming very hot while booting .

post back all main voltage (cpu igp ram south-bridge )

turn on an check if cpu or other main voltage is not flapping

finally solve it .

add 6x 330uf and 2x 470uf capacitors also change one capacitor inside CPU socket . now, if i press power button laptop start after 15 second and working good .delay 15 second in startup can create any problem in future
or its ok ?
