I have noticed that even when the laptop is turned off the PCH is getting warm (33 Celsius) and Board Power draw is 80 MilliAmps that is s lot for a laptop that is in OFF state.
Any idea what should i check on PCH lines that could take such power?

Communication between the to ITE is via smbdat/clk0.
I understand that you programmed the 8171 with 56k dump, all that went fine? Read back also fine?

As for the 56k keyboard controller... I have tryed 6 different firmware and none of them worked.
One of the firmwares is a universal gl50x that allready used on different modells before with success.Comment

Never mind. I wanted to check if windows sees the keyboard contoller at all so i have started to install win 10.
Durring the installation Laptop suddenly smelled funny and turned off.
1VSUS now shorted to ground and PCH taking 600 MilliAmps. At least I was right that PCH is taking to much power even in off state.
Lets see what happens after PCH replacement.Comment

I than took off the board and check for other corrosion spots and found two resistors corroded near the lid detect sensor UR200 that could explain the abnormal behaviour. Replacing the resistors solved the problem. At reboot I noticed no... -

by ugamazingSo, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:
1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.
2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not... -
