ps/2 port keyboard dead ? p5ql pro / ethernet cable light

my system is p5ql pro asus mobo , logitech keyboard ps2 keyboard (more than 10 years) .
my place use to get some power drip for a second ,at that time , pc shuts and restarts itself , it dint cause any problem till now , once or twice i noticed , i am not sure if it was exactly at power drip time or normal time - both keyboard and ethernet lan stopped working , the keyboard would lose power i mean led lights-num lock caps lock would not stay on , no light at etherbet cable too..then i would restart the pc - then its all good .

few years back ps2 mouse stopped working, but ps2 keyboard was working - so i got a usb mouse and forgot about that ps2 mouse or its port .

i restarted the pc to see if ps2 keyboard works ,nothing happened , so i went got a usb keyboard - i put it , at the same time ps2 keyboard was attached too , i started the pc ,not sure i reachewd the bios thru usb or ps2 keyboard -- this time ps2 keyboard worked at bios but caps lock numlock worked for the new usb keyboard when i pressed in ps2 keyboard ,no lights on ps2 keyboard .

then i restarted - now i started getting keyboard interface error press f1 to resume ,i removed the ps2 keyboard - still i get the same error . but i am able to press f1 or go to bios with usb keyboard as i guess its in legacy mode auto. i do have the disable wait for f1 error in bios , but interested to know whats happening here , is it mobo or keyboard got bad ? also i dont have spare ps2 keyboard now or mouse .
what would be the future of this mobo now in coming days ..

forgot to add few things - when ps2 keyboard is attached - i switch on the pc , i mean not starting the pc , but when switch on , the mobo green light is on (5v vsb i guess) , i see 3 led light blinks on for a sec then goes off (as normally it used to happen before too) , then i press the on start button on pc - nothing happens to keyboard now . pc starts - asus post -- ten american trends - keyboard interface error - f1 to resume .
this is the same with or without ps2 keyboard .
when there is no usb keyboard or ps2 keyboard - i get this error ,american trends f1 error page stays for just a second then pc goes loading from post to starting windows automatically .
