If you need to change the KB9012 chip, it must be programmed before it will work. Just bought it, but have not used it yet.

i kind of got that,
what i wanted to know, is what the chip does and how common it is.
because i cant recall seeing the part number before.

with the one mentioned above , want to buy programmer for KBC. any one here have already used one of the three.
got already EZP2010 programmer but it is only for eeprom chip .

i bought this programmer(85$) and is very helpful for new model (ACER DELL P.BELL ecc) but most of case need to replace first with new KB90.. ir ITE after to flash this ec chip.
