    Macbook air a2681

Got this macbook air that was not working.
after opening i found water damage on LID sensor, daughter board (where keyboard connects) and trackpad
There was spilled probably coffee (i’ve cleaned everyhting with pure water and afterwards with isopropyl alcohol
i’ve disconnected LID sensor, repaired flex on trackpad (the part thet connects to trackpad there were some pads heavy corroded to i’ve repaired them) and i was able to put macbook to DFU and restore.
but the keyboard was not working at all (no caps lock light). After dfu was done i’ve connected external keyboard and setup mac fully.

power button is working (touch id not - there was no error it only stays on scan your fingerprint (but it doesn’t read anything when you put finger on it)

i guess keyboard should be ok (as i was able to get to DFU and there is key combination needed (control + option + shift + power button)

on daughter board there were 2 chips (one bga and other somekind of mosfet (big ground in middle and pins on easch side) the were water damaged so i took them off repair solder under and put back on.

Is there any schematics for this daughter board ? So i can check what is not working here ? I don’t understand how power button can work (it’s conmected to daughter board or no ?), how i was able to get to dfu if keyboard is not responding ?

btw i’ve checked motherboard under microscope and it’s spotless no corrosion or any water damage.

any idea what can cause this strange issue ?

ok after checking it looks like problem is on trackpad side.

FPC connector on trackpad have some pins that are corroded and they don't make correct connection with flex (i've ordered new trackpad to see if this solves problem with keyboard)

MacBook Air M2 A2681 no Trackpad
        by rynr
        Hello,
I have been following the posts in the forum for some time now and have learned a lot. I would first like to thank you for this and hope that it will continue for a long time.

I received the MacBook in DFU. The recovery always failed with error 1. After some search, I was able to find a defective inductor (LT202).
After replacing the component, I was able to successfully complete the DFU restore. Unfortunately, the trackpad and keyboard where still without function.

So i measured all voltages and diodereadings on the JT400 connector. ...

[Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
        by No Lan
        Hey everyone,

Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

Apple Macbook Air M1 A2337 Trackpad problem
        by Skrndelj
        Hello all,

        I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad...

        A2681 Keyboard, trackpad and sleep?!
        by iMuhtaseb
Wow it's been a while since I posted!

This is a weird case, it has a history of liquid spill a year ago but customer did not want to replace neither trackpad or keyboard.. fast forward for today:

A2681 turns on but not trackpad or keyboard feedback (or external keyboard and mouse) and then after a minute or so the Mac sleeps..

It's a NOT a sleep sensor or trackpad or keyboard or daughterboard or anything else (I replaced all those); it's the logic board..

Tested another locked logic board on customer's top case and it posted with keyboard and...
