    What capacitor

I have reballed the GPU and have 3 blown capacitors on a hp touchsmart with ratings 5v 820uf. 105C
I have no capacitors in stock with that rating. Before I waste my time would 6.3v 1000uf do the job or can someone recommend a more apt set?

820uf must be the same, voltage can be a bit higher, so a 6.3v 820uf or 10v 820uf is ok.

    6.3v 1000uf is not ok.

5v is not a standard voltage rating. It could be 25v and you just don't see the 2.

      The standard values are 2.5v 4v 6.3v 10v 16v 25v etc

Low ESR 1000uF would be fine I guess, 6.3v would also work if you're absolutely sure that capacitor is 5v or less.
Maybe 5v is some series code or it's actually 25v and you simply don't see the voltage rating due to capacitor being very small?

It would help if you could post some pictures.

        fixed that for you.

You should use polymer capacitor, 560-680uF.

If you don't have polymer, you can use electrolytic but should use capacitors rated for higher voltage so that the ESR value would be closer to the value of the original capacitor. And up to 1000uF would probably be fine.

CPC sells them in UK and relatively cheap, here's what I'd recommend :
