Macbook Air A1932 Does not Turn ON

    Hello fellas!,

I have this macbook air with water damage, board 820-01521
After cleaning the board and checking for possible damage I can't find anything unusual, I'm a bit of a newbie and maybe my question is obvious to many although I haven't found much more info.
After measuring all the power rails I find the following losses PPVCC_S0_CPU and PPVCCGT_S0_CPU, the chip that controls them is the U7100 and if it is providing the rail of PPVCCSA_S0_CPU.

The signals CPUVR__PGOOD, CPU_VR_EN are OK.
Although CPU_VIDALERT_L is low and I see no activity in the SDA and SCLK of this chip.
On the other hand measuring the rest of signals that comes to my head I find PLT_RST_L signal low all the time, measuring this line gives me 0.700 a little higher than the 0.500 that I have found as reference.
I also see some activity in the Soc Rom U4770.
I could understand that by keeping the PLT_RST_L signal all the time, at the end the U7100 receives the alert so it doesn't launch the Vcore and VGT rails

Any extra idea what I can test ?.

    Thanks for any help guys!!

What is the voltage to ground of PPBUS_G3H?

What is the voltage and current draw showing on the USB type C meter (if available)?

        PPBUS_G3H is 12.6v and the voltage is 20v 110mA. I replaced U7100 and recover signal CPU_VIDALERT_L 1.8v.
        However PLT_RST is 0v permantely.

            ALL_SYS_PWRGD_R is 1.8v.

U7100 activate PPVCCSA_S0_CPU but not the other two lines PPVCC_S0_CPU and PPVCCGT_S0_CPU

            PLT_RST_L permanently 0v, in diode mode I've got 0.700

Remove all power. What is the resistance to ground of the following?

              PPVCC_S0_CPU
              PPVCCGT_S0_CPU

              PPVCCGT_S0_CPU
is the GPU rail which may not be on if it is not required. Not sure.

              ..confirmed:

Resistante to ground from those lines :

                1. PPVCC_S0_CPU : 15.5
                2. PPVCCGT_S0_CPU : 13
                3.
                PPVCCSA_S0_CPU : 28

The rails are not shorted but not on.

                  Try a DFU.

Hi, I've never worked with a MacBook before, so I need some advice.
I have a MacBook Air A1932 (820-01521). When I plugged in the charger with an amp meter, it showed 19.7V and 1.9A, which indicates that it's charging, but when I press the power button, it doesn't turn on. So, I disassembled it, disconnected the battery, and plugged in the charger again. It showed 19.6V and 0.04A, and pressing the power button had no effect—no current draw at all. Then, I removed the motherboard, connected the charger again, and got the same results. I took a multimeter and checked all the coils, and everything...

Macbook A1932 Some Keys Not Working
                      by astroboypaul
Macbook A1932 had completely dead keyboard. I found liquid damage on circuitry on keyboard itself, and repaired it by replacing what i think was a 10k 0201 resistor (here's my post requesting schematic for keyboard circuitry where I included a photo of the resistor: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ic-820-01294-a)
Now most of the keyboard works and I can login, but the following keys don't work: Delete, "/', left...

                      Hello,

I am trying to repair the laptop mentioned in the title. I have been searching posts looking for readings similar to mine but cannot find any. I am fairly new at this so please be gentle 🏳

                      History:
No water damage, screen cracked. Laptop doesn't draw any amps on USB meter from either USB C port. Removed the board, same no amp draw. No standby light on the board. Apart from dust board looks great! No obvious visible burnt components. At the moment I dont have a Mac charger, its on the way. I am using a samsung USB C charger which should get the board on...
