    HP DV6000 DA0AT6MB8E2 no power led flashes half second

    Hello, I have HP DV6000 DA0AT6MB8E2 Rev: E motherboard and experiencing a short 25Ω on 1.05V rail which is mostly MCH power voltage.
    Symptoms: As soon as I press power button led lights up and immediately closes and powers off.

    I have replaced nvidia GPU with a new one, reflowed MCH 945 but still same symptoms.

    Also removed PQ33, PC34 and PC33 (PC32 is already missing) but still that rail is shorted. What do you think? Should I replace Intel 945 MCH?

      PQ30 out and PQ33 and remove PL23.
      do you still have short on the PQ pads?
      Just cook it! It's already broken.

          I haven't removed PQ30 because on pins 5-8 there is 19V VIN so that line is correct. I haven't removed the coil PL23 yet, wouldn't that cut the circuit in half?
          . However I have already completely removed PQ33 but short remains.

              you need to remove the coil to see if the short goes in the line.
              then you can check if the pq pads are ok.
              that max its ok? PU7

                  You are right because +1.05V signal gets to some big 330UF caps near CPU and some small caps under CPU and also is the main power supply for MCH 945. I need to remove the coil to see if it stills has the line a shortage. And I will also check thoroughly PU7.

                      the problem i don`t know and will really like to know what is the purpose for those pins.
                      like what each pin does

                          PU7. some i can see like VDD supply ,DL1 gate DH1

                              Removed coil PL23 and the short goes on the right side of the coil to PC34, PC33 etc.

                              PU7 MAX 8743EEI+ has (with coil removed):
                              VCC: 5V
                              VDD: 5V
                              V+: 19V
                              PGOOD: 0V (NOT grounded)
                              DH1: 1.9-3.3V Variable ? Gate of PQ30
                              DL1: 0V GND Gate of PQ33
                              LX1: 2.3V path to coil PL23 is not shorted now that it has been removed.

                                          Hi guys
                                          I have a B&O Omen laptop here. It has very specific fault symptoms, hopefully someone can give me some guidance

                                          If I plug in a known good 180W third party charger the little LED next to the power jack on the laptop flashes red once, but the laptop will not start. It will not flash red again unless you unplug and reconnect the power.

                                          If I remove the main battery (I can't see a cmos battery) then the led by the jack does not flash when I plug in the adapter, but if I press the power on button with adapter attached it flashes once white every time...

                                          hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.

                                          the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.

                                          reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.

                                          now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.



                                          to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)

                                          I have a 65" W Box TV, model 0E-65LED4K that most of the times it is turned on, the right half of the backlights flash on and off in a split second and remain off while the other half lights up and stays on just fine.
