Surface Pro 7 1866 No Power

Hey guys,
I go a surface pro 7 in at the shop with a broken screen but reception did not test it and its totally dead. usb c Charger negotiates 20v and about 500ma which spikes to 1.8a on power button press and then back down to about 800ma. I have board view and schematic but I am kind of spinning my wheels here and am hoping someone can give me some info to help me understand what I am looking for a little better.

update: Following the power sequence up to the LPC, 1p8v_sam is present as well as pwrbtn#_1v8, No vsus_on tho. Is LPC what I should be looking at?

also hoping I didnt possibly trip thermal protection at u5801 but I am unsure how to determine that. I do not own an oscilloscope. Ive attached the BV and schematic for anyone who wants to have a look

as an update, schematic calls for nominal vsys voltage of 8.6v But I am only getting 6v. other voltages seem a little low as well like 1v7 on 1v8 lines ect. hoping someone can offer some advice here

viewing under thermal, U6204 gets hot and the 1p8vsb_vcc on pin 8 is actually 3.3v. hoping anyone can help me make sense of what I am seeing here

Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Measure the resistance to ground of this lower voltage rail. Checking for a low resistance which may mean you have a shorted component on this power rail. Often a shorted or leaky capacitor.

is it safe to assume then that seeing 3v3 on pin 8 which is labeled as 1p8vsb_vcc should be 1v8? Because the buck u6204 heats up and I am not 100% on what the function of this component is.
