    Acer Z5WE3 LA-A621P Ver1.0 no picture

    Hello, I ask for help in starting the board in a laptop: Acer E1 Board name Z5WE3 LA-A621P

    I also did the BIOS before, it didn't help me and after the measurement it came out as a short circuit.

    After a short circuit on the belt, the switch turns on:
    Fan runs faster and I have the 19V 5.12V 3.41V
    I don't have a short circuit. Chip Q31, D1 and PC911 have been taken out and there is still a short circuit in them.
    Problems with Q31 (2N7002K_SOT23-3). Gahte and Souce short circuit
    AZ5125-02S.R7G_SOT23-3 with pin 1 and 3 short circuit.
    PC911 has two capacitor short circuits

          Hi all,

          Recently picked up this GTX1650 at a local flea market for a low price and wanted to use it on my secondary PC. I first tested the card and saw the fan spin for a split second and then nothing. Immediately I thought of a short circuit. Disassembled and found a shorted SMD capacitor, injected voltage into it (1V/4A) and two Mosfets got hot immediately (QN3103 & QN3107). Desoldered these Mosfets and the card turned back to life.

          Bought replacements from Aliexpress and replaced them afterwards. Tried the card but still the saw the fan spin for a split second...

          this is my first post at Badcaps and in general i am new to fixing electronics. I am looking forward to learn a bit more about diagnosing and repairing :-)

          What I have around is a DELL OPTIPLEX 3060 Micro (USFF), which is not powering on, even not showing any signs of life (No amber / white LED).
          I got a original 65W DELL PSU / Power brick (PA-12 / 074VT4) which hopefull should be the correct one. I could get another DELL PSU with the Partnumber 0G6J41 with the same 4.9mm DC Jack connector as the one I already have, but I dont think that would help (maybe...

          I have a short circuit on the 19-volt line.
          I initially found and replaced this faulty MOSFET, Q60C10.
          Then, when I powered up the board, I had the same problem. The MOSFET failed and is giving me a short circuit.
          I wanted to ask if it's possible to try to find the faulty component by injecting current, and at what point, so I can check the damaged component with a thermal imaging camera.

          Hi All, I have a 9th Gen Dell Optiplex micro PC motherboard which doesn't power on. When I connect the motherboard with power adapter, it goes into safe mode and turns off. So from info I have gathered online, it looks like there is a short circuit on the motherboard. So can you guys help me with figuring out the issue?

          Hello.
          I have seen a short circuit tester made with 3 * 9V batteries, a voltage limiter component and a resistor connected to the probes of a multimeter.
          The theory is that the meter becomes sensitive enough to read very low resistances and the lowest resistance to ground on a circuit is likely to be a short circuit in that area.
