    Sansei nb156 ( sf40kb rev: 1.0 ) wont boot properly

    Laptop: SANSEI NB156 ( Intel Core i5-7200U )

    Board: SF40KB REV: 1.0

    BIOS: 1.02.02.DTH

Problem: Only with battery power supply, when press power button, laptop boot, show brand logo and shutdown. Always.

With charger attached, first press power button, same results, but second, boot correctly and all works fine. Can disconnect the charger, reboot Windows, close the lid.

If power off the laptop, need connect the charger and in the second boot, works again.

Maybe BIOS/EC problem? BIOS dump attached.

    Thanks!

This motherboard has 2 similar chips. One is on the front marked with BIOS SKT "Winbond 25Q256JVEN" and one on the back marked with U351 "Gigadevice 25B256EYIG". I ignored the one on the back and only desoldered front chip. Made a backup, made sure the reading was the same with another 3 backups.

I needed to remove bios password...

Asus ROG Ally X -RC72LA - changed hidden bios settings with 'Smokeless-UMAF', won't get past boot logo

ASUS ROG Ally X - (Handheld Gaming PC)
      Model No: RC72LA
      Serial No: SBNVKD001014459

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.

2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.

The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but...

Bios partially corrupted somehow and now warm boot doesn't work which is critical
      by Neddsme
      Hie.
I own a Lenovo ideapad v310-15IKB with an i5 7th generation with only Intel graphics configuration.
Now the heart of the problem is that I don't know when or how it happened but I suddenly started getting distortion in the graphics output on the LCD. This basically meant a black screen full of flickering multicolored short horizontal lines. This would happen 30-60 minutes after booting and using it normally.
I run Windows 10 20H build so I thought it was just a Windows update issue or graphics driver outdated issue.
I managed to run Windows troubleshooting and...
